+Tony King I've been playing in Detroit since around 1988-89...off and on at first (I'm a Flint native), then moreso after I got friends and connections. I live in Detroit now....
So just wondering as an outsider what the vibe was like back in the day in Detroit if anyone actually knows? Was it kinda heavy or free lovin?

I consider myself blessed for having been alive to go to so many events in the D during the birth of techno and beyond... simply said... it was an authentic discovery time for everyone. Fast forward many years... more development towards PLUR and open-ness
