Just wanted to come back and say “Thank You”! I came across this a good while ago. I downloaded it back then. I’ve done a few different configurations and I’m always nosy to see how others do their mappings and stuff. But this is hands down, the coolest and most fun Ableton DJ setup I’ve used. I’ve incorporated it into my regular dj rig. It’s a staple in the dj booth these days. Thanks again for sharing. I can’t imagine what beast you’ve come up with since then.

I have intermittent issues with the DJEQ3FX. I think it's related to the filter. Sometimes the sound gets caught on a setting and the sound won't change unless the dial is brought back to the default setting. Same with EQ

If you send one track through to the dummy track beat repeat, can another track go through with a different setting on the beat repeat? e.g. one with a 1/2 bar repeat and another with a bar repeat?

Its kind of complicated using .. I prefer the CD decks or tables but it shows how creative you can get with Ableton and you can create cool templates.. .

you could just replace a cd deck with a push and run it all thru a mixer ... i think thats way easier for live performing

I'm using this outstanding template. One thing I cannot figure out, why the Dummy Injector has a delay when effects are applied? And why the sender is so loud?

What controller or combination of controllers would you say best takes advantage of this template? Your videos are great and very helpful. Cheers.

I think I'll use my launchpad + my home made MIDI controller (it looks like Novation Nocturne, check it). So i propose Launchpad + Nocturn. Launchpad for selecting effects , triggering tracks and moving around, Nocturne for potentiometers. I'll think about mapping soon.

Should I buy this or is there a 2017 3.0 version coming soon?

It seems like that in your video about 'warping tracks' the tempo of the track that you warped ignores the Live set's tempo. In this video, I see that you adjust Live set's tempo if you start playing a track. What is the difference between the two videos in warping?

How come you don't use the browser for loading up tracks?

I don't get the point of the BPM clips. Once your clips are correctly warped, Live will adjust the BPM to the master BPM, or did you disable that?

***** Once you've decided the bpm for your set it's useful to know what bpm the clips were produced in at a glance, so you don't start playing a clip into your set that will be sped up by amounts greater than +/- 5 bpm.

You can get the download through his facebook page, but unfortunately, some aspects of it are toast. I don't remember exactly how, but parts of it are weird. That said, it's a great way to see how to build a very detailed template. I used parts of it to build an awesome DJ template, but it's different than this.

What's the point of all the dummy tracks? Why not just put effect rack directly on decks and map to macros? Or just send effects to return channels? Respect to the amount of work that went into this setup and for making the video. Would really appreciate to hear back how this way is better than just having effects directly onto tracks "decks"
