+Patrick Soltero I don't think the bulk of the people understand what is going on. These are tracks that have been sampled many times and they are likely unfamiliar with he originals so the skill escapes them.

I was there! People were so into it! This was sort of a transition between DJs, and I remember it was super hot, so a lot of people thought it was a good moment to grab a drink, take a breather outside, including me. And then JAZZY JEFF takes the stage and I ran back in! Haha

Jazzy Jeff still got it! I remember back in the day when he would take over Detroit radio stations with his mad mixin skills! Beats&Wheels Sometimes it's just nice to watch one of the best DJ's in the world just perform. Back in the day in Philly, we would just look in awe and watch his intricate skills and just nod our heads to the rhythm.

No idea, looks like time coded vinyl to use with a laptop software like Sorato? Some of the stuff he is doing is flipping doubles (or juggling I believe its called?). Just load the same track on each deck and remember where your cue points are so you can endlessly loop back and forth.

no disrespect, im just getting into the dj world. trying to learn from the best. What makes jazzy jeff the legend he is? is it a certain technique or just his style of mixing? I like his chill but still hype vibe. A lot of others are just hype but don't seem to have the same capabilities to make chill fly? It's a serious question though for anybody who knows the answer.
