DJ Clark Kent Gives Complex A Tour of Brooklyn, NY | The Neighborhood
Ойын-сауық
Before DJ Clark Kent started producing hits for The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay Z and rocking crowds across the globe, he was Rodolfo Franklin, a young and ambitious kid from Crown Heights, Brooklyn. In ComplexTV's latest episode of "The Neighborhood," he gives us an in-depth look on how he came up in New York and shares some amazing stories along the way.

Clark Kent is cocky
Moved here in 1980 from Trinidad and met this dude in 84. He made me a cassette tape ( my first true Hip Hop tape.... Still have it😊) . All I can I am from Brooklyn Crown heights President & Nostrand and I learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of going up here. Moved now but I still have friends And I do visit at least 6 times a year no joke. Brooklyn for Life.

Yo Clark Kent is mad cool, one of the pioneering kings of sneaker heads.
Even though he is a sneaker connoisseur now, DJ Clark Kent is a VERY important golden era hip-hop producer!!!!!! ;)
Wow, Clark is Panamanian! Shout out Franklin and St. Marks Ave where the Panamanians congregated heavy back when.

Excellent well done. He's from my neighborhood!
Real ass dude!
OMG Crown Heights. My Mom grew up in 1626 Union between Troy and Schenectady. She would tell me about walking in Lincoln Terrace Park and how it was safe 24/7. My Dad had a cleaning store around the corner on Troy Ave. Later on I'd run there training for the NYC Marathon, up Kingston from Eastern Parkway to Wingate. I'd be wearing a yarmulke, shorts, a tank top and running shoes, and got bemused looks from the Hasidim.
Killa Heights!!! Brooklyn Forever!
My birthplace 💯💯❤️
Crown heights is a rowdy neighborhood. I had to walk home deep through there and am surprised nothing happened to me
