musket 0402 Absolutely!! If you can even pick a best of, this is Chet's finest playing ever. I'm a total Django fanatic but I am an even bigger Chet Atkins fanatic and this version of Dizzy Fingers put me over the line when I originally heard it 40 some years ago. Paul Yandell was 100% correct when he stated that in his opinion, Chet Atkins was just as great as Django Reinhardt. If Chet were alive he would vehemently disagree with that statement. So would I at one time. Not anymore though. I believe Chet Atkins was just as great as Django. Someone please tell me who was the drummer on this track. Absolutely incredible. No other drummer could have done that better. It's the same other worldly mojo that Homer and Jethro bestowed on Chet at the 1949 Fox Theater RCA recordings.

I agree, but as an all-around guitarist Chet eclipses Django, in my opinion. Django was a great Gypsy-Jazz guitarist who influenced Chet and many others.

It most definitely is harder to play than Jerry's Breakdown. They're both very difficult; I've taken a crack at both of them. Both are to blame for my baldness, but I yanked out more of my hair trying to play Dizzy Fingers!
