DIYing A Fall Wreath For My Mom!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Got to work on a little fall project for my mom this past week! She wanted something new for the door this season, and let's be honest - the homemade wreath that has been outside the last several years has certainly seen better days. We had so much fun shopping together, and in the end this project turned out beautifully. What fall DIYs are you working on? I'd love to hear in the comments!

This year I didn't need a fall wreath, but I got tons of ideas just walking through the stores for a revamp of the one I made last year. Every couple years I revamp old wreaths. This year I needed a new Halloween wreath and Joann's had a lot of great options. I need a new Christmas wreath and I have a few ideas running through my head. Yours is gorgeous. I use a bowdabra to help me with my bows. My hands are tiny and sometimes cant hold the ribbon right.

I love the idea of revamping wreaths you already have! Great way to get the most out of what you've already got, while still keeping it fresh and up to date. I'll have to check out the bowdabra! Thanks for watching.

I love watching your full for decorations in the shops. We don't have that over here in Australia.

While consumerism here in America can certainly go overboard, I do love the wide variety of options we have! Glad I was able to make you feel like you got to come along for the adventure and see all the goodies.

Yes, Dollar Tree has some really great florals! I find Hobby Lobby tends to have a wider selection, but various dollar stores often have some hidden gems (and at a great price too!)

Awww! It was fun to see “Amanda’s Mom”! Considering I’m a viewer that could be your mother, lol. Fun to do a kinda “family project” and take us along with you! It turned out so pretty! I’ve often heard that when arranging flowers, odd or off-centered is best, would you agree with that rule of thumb? I’m okay with my crochet hook, but not very talented otherwise! 🤪. Thank you, again! ☺️🫶🏻🧶 cheers from OH..Lisa

Thanks so much, Lisa! And yes, odd numbers is a great rule of thumb, as well as off-center. I credit my mom for instilling me with a love for all things arts and crafts - she took a lot of art classes in school and passed along a lot of the tips she's learned. One of the earliest art "rules" I learned from her is odd numbers tend to look more appealing!
