when you fini.with the leaf do you use a sealer of any kind or is it not needed,they are beautiful

Hi Genevieve! I didn't use a sealer for these pieces. But you certainly can come back over them with a coat of Mod Podge gloss if you wanted to. However, without doing that extra step, I have washed these pieces by hand with no issue and I use them a lot. They have held up well and look exactly like they did the day I made them. Hi Lisa!! Thank you so much. I use E 6000 quick hold or the regular e 6000, depending on the project. My favorite hot glue is Gorilla hot glue. For my water based glue and sealer needs I use Mod Podge, usually the gloss...Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!

If I may Ask, How many pkgs of Silver Leaf did you use for the Large Ginger Jar, as the Silver Leaf I've found is rather costly for 1 pkg. $10.00 at Michaels in Lewisville Texas and $9.00 at Hobby Lobby where I shop. Hi Regina!! I used one pack for the entire project. Do you have a Michaels in your area? I paid $7.50 for a pack there. You know I lived in Dallas and worked in Carrolton for many years. Hello my dear friend Regina!! Thank you so much. I use Menta brushes by Royal and Langnickel. I usually catch them on sale at Jo-Ann Fabrics. I used to use any brand I could find that said it was for acrylic paint. But these have been the best over all. And as long as I clean them properly they last. Aww thank you so much for saying that. That really means so much to me. I love doing this and I will continue as long as the Lord gives the strength to. How do you keep the paint from peeling

Hi Melissa!! This paint is a paint and sealer combined and the mod podge is also a sealant. But if want to have an extra layer of protection Krylon Clear coat adds a nice gloss and it helps seal the paint.
