Introducing my DIY Zamboni !!
Building these outdoor rinks you tend to run into problems like a frozen hose or a broken hose cracked or say your waterline outside of the house freezes or the handle freezes on the outside of the house and can’t open up the water line and Now got no water to get to your rink? all you need is a quick & easy flood ?, well I’ve made a little homemade Zamboni that involves using none of those things I described just involves carrying a big bucket of water from the house to rink then I would pour that bucket of water into another bucket that has many holes in the bottom of it and a towel at the end of it , I then pull the bucket with the holes in the bottom which now flows out onto the rink absorbing into a towel causing yourself to have the perfect smooth outdoor rink. The towel dragging behind the bucket is collecting any extra snow in the towel and smoothing out the water as it goes. What’s great about this DIY Zamboni is that it cost me $0 to make . I just used items that I found in the garage and it helps to live in the country and live on a well because water doesn’t cost anything so that’s a plus!!(hehe) ,but I’ve lived in the city and made outdoor rinks and it can get expensive every month flooding and maintaining your outdoor rink so I thought I’d share with everyone .

Hello, Thank you for video, I left a like How long for it to dry to be playable again? lets says at around -10 degrees celcius I was thinking to do that mid-game
This is a great simple idea, thanks. One question, did you drill holes all along the bottom of the recycle bin or just along the back side where the towel is? Thanks

Yes I put several holes in the bottom of the bin & several at the back lower side of the bin where the water can flow out of the bin at the towel dragging behind it.
How did you secure the towel to the bucket
@coachdadsons9821

I use both cold water works great no matter what... but I like using Hot water to do a good resurface on the rink on a Cold night.
