Make this simple phone cradle in minutes and for less than $3! Quick and easy to make or batch out to sell or give as gifts to others. This makes a great stocking stuffer, or a last-minute gift idea.
Tools required: literally only a table saw
Materials used: 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2' board (any species - I used red oak) makes two phone stands. You can find this at just about any hardware store. Or customize the dimensions to better fit your phone.

I love this! I'm still nervous with the take saw, and this is a nice, simple project to get more comfortable with it. I could even use some of the scrap laying around the garage.

Look good. Have you considered an alternate version that secures the charging connector into a stationary position and hides the front part of the wire? I think both would be ideal, the first especially. Seems like you'd want to maybe flatten the bottoms and apply a gripping material so it wouldn't slide though. Just a thought!

Haha, it does look like that, doesn't it? I didn't realize I had it propped up weird when I made that shot. But it isn't actually supposed to rest on the plug. If it does, I would just make the slot wider.
