Great little dovetail box. Thanks for sharing. It's good to have a teacher around. It took some days for you to make the box but at least you have all your fingers left. Never mind the green lines not be as continuous as you wanted them to be.

@@diyhuntress Home Depot also sells individual small ceramic tiles that can be inlaid into the top or sides of the box also. If you're not happy about the continuous grain issue that maybe an option to look at. You can even use a different tile for all 4 sides and the top if want.

SAMMMMMMMM!!!!!! I don't think you realize just how amazing your dovetails are. Go look at some antique furniture sometime... those joints are NOT as good as the ones in this box, and antique stuff sells for thousands of dollars because it's lasted for so long. This was so encouraging to see dovetails fit tightly on the first try. Also the video looked really REALLY good. The timing of your cuts with the voiceover was next-level. Great stuff! You're gonna hit 20k in just a few days!

I am just now getting started into making boxes like this. I actually just completed my very first one made with oak and polished aluminum angle stock inlayed on all 4 corners. I would be interested in seeing more of this kind of build, cigar boxes, jewelry boxes, keepsake boxes, wine or champagne gift boxes, anything like that and I want to try to mix metals with wood. Brass or copper wire inlays, aluminum corners like I did, just using 2 dissimilar materials together to create a beautiful piece
