My wife and I are planning this project now, any help as to what skimmer and return you used would be a great help,any other details you could share would be great!

I have been looking for a video like this for years. I’ve had this idea but always want to see someone else take a stab at it before I went in on it. It looks like you’ve had good results. Did you actually make any videos? Do you have anymore photos?

This is exactly what I am going to do only smaller. I'm going to build a modest little pool to deck level. My decks 3 feet above ground so I will dig just a foot down on the shallow end and 3.5' down on the deep side. I will definitely go with pea gravel around and even under the pool I'm thinking to not only keep dirt off the wood but up here it freezes to -40 in the winter to spring thaw shifts the ground and gravel helps absorb that. I see its been 2 seasons since you posted this.... Can you share how its held up? Has there been any problems at all?

Wow that seems to have worked out remarkably well!

Absolutely awesome. Not something you see in Australia and a perfect solution for my back yard. I’ve looked through the questions, but can’t see a definitive reply confirming what base pool is sitting on? Is it ground or concrete etc? And if it’s not on a concrete base, have you had any issues with plant roots under the liner? Thanks in advance for your time 😎

You have to put a sand and cement screed base 100%

I have read that foam baking actually makes it easier to poke holes in the liner. How is this project holding up so far? I would think treated lumber would last many years used like this, at least 10 and might even get 20......

Hi, can you share what kind of wood you have used? Thickness? Just pressure treated?
@henrys.33994 жыл бұрын
would have been a good idea to put pea gravel against the wood instead of backfilling with dirt, good drainage at the perimeter will help prolong the life expectancy of the treated lumber....otherwise its still wood against dirt, it will rot out between 5-7 years from dampness/moisture and poor drainage...just an fyi

According to many sites, treated lumber is guaranteed a lifetime of no rot, compared to sealed wood.
