DIY What To Wear After Shoulder Surgery T-Shirt ~ Easy On Easy Off

My friend asked me to make a t-shirt, that she could use , after her shoulder surgery, where she doesn't have to lift her arms up, because she won't be able to, for 8 weeks or longer, so l will show you how we did this, it is actually pretty easy to do, and will make her recovery , go a lot easier.

    You are awesome! Those are so handy! I made the same tshirts for a little boy that had cancer so the nurses could access his port without taking off his shirt.

    Hi momma O.. I know I'm behind on the video's but as I was watching this I was thinking about maybe it would be easier for your neighbor if you were able to use velcro instead of the snaps.. either way you are SO VERY TALENTED! And everyone that crosses your path is so very blessed. Praying 🙏 for her.

    Hi and so happy you are getting caught up and yes, l told her Velcro would be better but she said her hair would get caught on it so she didn't want that and l agree that the Velcro would be better and thanks so much for your kind words and for your prayers :)

    Roseanne, would the snaps work if you were to put the second set on the right side of the material? That way the snap seam would lay flat on the shoulder. You’re a good friend and neighbor.

    I'm looking at shoulder surgery soon and this is just wonderful. I live alone and am already practicing dressing etc with one arm. I have a snap fastener kit but I think I'll use velcro buttons for this. Also don't have a serger 😪 but do have lots of bias tape. As a former nurse, this is also a great idea for people with access ports and for stroke patients.

    You’ve gotten the reputation of a “fixer” since you’ve hemmed the gentleman’s slacks & shortened the lady’s jumpsuit. Plus adding a new zipper to save Oly’s jacket. Your friend knew the perfect seamstress. If you need a customized wardrobe, contact “Momma Orgill’s alterations department”. It was something watching you attach snaps with a sewing machine. I would be the one who jammed her needle into the snap & had to replace with a new needle. I’d just hand stitch them. You certainly are using the talents the Heavenly Father gave you. You’ll get a blessing because you blessed this lady in need.

    I’m having shoulder surgery in 2 weeks, but don’t have a sewing machine. Any advice on how to make this without sewing?

  • @MammaOVlogs

    @MammaOVlogs

    yes, just cut the shoulder then thread through about 3 or 4 strips of yarn with a needle and just tie it together, let me know how you are doing and if that worked
