A girl after my own heart. Not many people stud their own clothing anymore, so it's always so nice to see people my age who are keeping the art alive! Love your creations. ❤️

Relationship goals as fuck
My friend used to take studs off belts. I'd watch him work on his jackets for like six hours at a time before breaking long enough for food. Didn'teven smoke while worked. It was mesmerizing. I'm making my first, trying to get an idea of how many studs to start off. * I always want to do a workout when I'm walking down the street. Holy shit, over 3000 studs??? Thank God I'm not going full coverage.
Every couple months I find myself coming back to this video for inspiration. I’m currently working on my first denim vest that I’m trying to cover in local band patches and studs. Love from LA!
So many studs! Amazing job guys! All really awesome. I especially adore your black vest with the criss cross back and your red jacket with black studs. They are both lovely! I have a few jackets I need to fix up. Always good to have more inspiration. Thanks! I would love to see more. Pants or whatever you have. :)
Where do you live that has so many punk locals? Loved the jacket thats over 3000 studs. I wanted to make a jacket like that. I have a pack of 500 studs. After watching this, I realize I need a whole lot more.

the thing I hate about studding my jacket is that the minute i start going out with the jacket the studs fly off and i have wasted so much effort. grrrrr

what I suggest is get some fabritac and glue the prongs together after you stud them. should last prettylong
@Livingdeadgirll
7 жыл бұрын
Totally, you might not be bending the studs close enough to the base of the stud, most studs (except triangle ones? Not sure why) have long enough prongs that they should just barely overlap one another or at least be tightly touching when they're bent in! I use a butter knife to bend mine over and it gets pretty close to the base. If the prong is too short you can hot glue between the prongs so that they don't wiggle out!

Livingdeadgirll I mean the screw on studs. They just keep getting unscrewed. I think they are falling off because its a fake leather jacket so the material is thin. I don't know what i can do. They don't tighten to the point were they are sturdy enough but i tighten them as much as they go, it's just that the material is too thin I guess. Do you understand what i mean? Do you think I should even bother to continue?
@olan5653

what I suggest is get a jean/ army jacket and use that not fake leather for screw on studs. use that jacket to put patches/ prong studs on it not screw on

Awesome collection of jackets and vests, you two have inspired me to make my own jackets and vests, keep it up
So glad to see you guys supporting local bands. So many punks I know don't even go to local shows
Your such a studdmuffin.. love the collection guys. Thanks for the video. A little drawnout but looks like you had fun being nostalgic.. and reliving glorypunk life.
I just found this! I’m 40 and this is awesome! I was getting ready to patch up an army bdu for death metal and stumbled on it...what a cool thing, keep going! I was at the Misfits show last night this video hit the spot!
Those jackets are super sick! You can tell how much time and attention to detail you put in these!
Livingdeadgirl how are you? I hope you're staying safe!! I decorate leather jackets, ya know paint, spikes, studs, patches etc. and once I've finished the jacket I use a spray finish to protect my artwork. However, the last jacket I did was not in fact leather it's polyurethane and the finish I used cause I didn't check to make sure it was leather. It's not so my finish didn't dry. I'm hoping you might have a suggestion on what finish I can use that will dry? Thanx in advance for your help!! Stay safe!!
Wow they're all so awesome !! Makes me want to stud all my clothing.

These are all so coollll, I'm trying to get up the motivation to work on my jacket right now lol
Amazing work! I love studded jackets uuugh 🌞
Came across this video in my random quarantine searches ! Am from Vancouver but have been living in the UK for 8 years now. SO gutted to hear about the singer from Rebel Spell but also equally upset to realise that due to my disconnect from my old local faves, I didn’t even know about it until now 😞 I saw them several times back in the day, they were so great live, I still have a badge on my current jacket collar 🖤
You guys could be have a huge following here on youtube. your so unique and colorful and ppl love that. I for one would love to see videos of how tos. Like how to correctly apply studs, sew patches, where to buy supplies, and things like that
This is so cool this gives me so much inspo for my first learher battle jacket!

Love the black studs on that red jacket!
Where do you get the dead Kennedy’s shirt I’ve been looking everywhere for a good one
How did you get the spike things on? I wanna add spikes to my best but I don’t know where to get them, what they’re called or how to put them on.
Your jackets and vests are amazing! I would love to see another video for the bottoms! This video inspired me to start doing this to my jackets! and this is kinda random but could you guys do a tattoo video?
Badass video, I'm doing a jacket for the first time in like 15 years haha and this was super inspirational!!! Thanks
Id love for you guys to do some instructional videos on how to stud, what paints to use, what studs to use etc. Itd be really helpful and fun to watch! Awesome collection bu the way!

I've been following them for AGES on instagram and I didn't know they did some videos haha. This is awesome.
Hands down the best video I have come across on KZread for a variety of stud and Spike ideas.... Magnificent jackets.... Got a quick question though, any advice on putting studs or spikes through a jacket that has a little bit of a liner, specifically the sleeves ?..... I find it kind of difficult to see where the holes are through the liner. Thanks again.
D'aww, I smiled so hard when I saw this upload! Such a cool video. I swear you two are my favorite couple in the history of everrr. Just sitting here admiring how much work went into all of these. So amazing! *_*

How do you get your studs so neat!!
These are soooooo CUTEEEE!! LOVE IT Ive been wanting to stud, spike, and handpaint clothing (more of leather jackets) Were these made when you were younger younger? Like teens? then out grow them because its looking like a struggle to get into those.
these jacket/vests r amazing!! also, his voice reminds me of kurt cobain lol
I just found your channel and I already suscribed and watched lots of your vids. I love your style and those jackets are so cool! ;-;
can i paint on my faux leather jacket with a montana paint marker?
There's so much misfits!
This is so inspiring for me somehow. I love DIY, but the most I've ever done is make bleach patterns all over my clothes! Turned out pretty cool though:)
I saw Operation Ivy play loads at Gilman St 87-89, Berkeley, California.
How to buy a one I like that very much can you give me more detail but I'm living in China
I miss your vlogs! I would really like a book collection vid, if possible.

I'm just starting on my first jacket (I'm only 14) it's my dad's old army jacket and it already has a few studs (my dad used to be super into the punk scene and still is) do you guys have any tips on getting studs to stay?
@Livingdeadgirll
7 жыл бұрын
Callme Zerø totally! Making sure you reeeeeallly push them all the way through! I always use a butter knife to bend the prongs down because it can get soooo close to the edge of the stud! The pyramid ones always suck for staying because their prongs are made so much shorter! So go for circles or cones! Also, after you're all done grab a hot glue gun and some glue sticks and coat the backs of them, squeezing it all around the prongs and underneath them if you can get in there! It will really help hold them in there! After that we always either (liquid stitch or sew) a piece of fabric on the inside of the garmet to keep the metal and glue from bothering us!

Livingdeadgirll thank you so much!
Your eyes are amazing!
this is rad and y'all are rad and I immediately subscribed!
Question: should you put the stud prong in to the stud prong hole next to it or leave a small gap ? Noticed that my jackets start to rip from the studs being right next to each other . Maybe it’s just a shit Denim jacket not sure .. peace ✌️
@Livingdeadgirll
4 жыл бұрын
If you want the studs to be dense, you would use the same hole. Denim wears away and stretches out faster than other materials, so you MAY need that gap for structural reasons. I would say the same hole method works best for leathers and vinyls.
