Loved your unicorn party & the outstanding job you did decorating & planning the party food. Here are some birthday parties I hosted for my granddaughter. I started planning & making decorations months in advance. Wizard of Oz party. I turned my Great room into a poppy field making dozens of tall red poppies out of red tissue paper. Each party girl got to take a poppy home. The girls made Dorothy clothes pin dolls. I made a pinata in the shape of Dorothy's ruby red slipper. We had a photo booth with a Dorothy costume & a Dorothy wig. They watched The Wizard of Oz movie. Harry Potter Party. I decorated my dining room ceiling with many hanging floating candels made from paper towel tubes painted white & led votive candels.. The girls made wands, a spell book & a golden snitch from gold Christmas balls & white feathers. I set up a Harry Potter laboratory where the girls made erupting witches caldrons by pouring vinegar over baking soda into small plastic witches caldrons. They made muggle soap by microwaving ivory soap watching it expand as it cooked. The girls played quidditch game which I made from 3 different sizes of hula hoops painted gold. I also made a pInata that looked like Harry Potter's face and a paper mache sorting hat. They entered the party through a door covered in brick paper labeled Platform 9 3/4. An ice cream party. I hung ice cream cones from my ceiling that were made from round paper lanterns glued to cones made with brown craft wrapping paper. The girls made slime. They shot party poppers & busted an ice cream cone pinata. We had a campfire with smores as a fun ending. The birthday cake was a delicious Brusters Ice Cream Cake. I hope these parties give you some ideas for future birthday celebrations. My girl has decided she is too sophisticated for birthday parties. She now wants an elegant dinner at a fancy restaurant with her family!

Love that! SO FUN! My older daughter also prefers just small get togethers with friends or a family trip somewhere for the day and is not into parties now either....although she would like a big sweet 16 party when the time comes she says LOL

Party planning is definitely my passion and being the horse lover I am, when Kylie started getting into horses and ponies, I knew having a pony party while she was little was like a once in a lifetime opportunity that I had to do.Sometimes I miss the days when I had my own horses, but hosting a party for the kids and having them get to enjoy visiting with pony makes everything worth it!! Aww, thank you so much, Janny! Renee isn’t really into parties, she usually asks for something like a trip to Broadway. We saw the play Aladdin for her last birthday. I absolutely love designing parties for kids though! 💜💗💙

Hi Jen! Thank you! Yes, we had the pony come out for an hour and surprise the kids! When Renee was little I still had horses and I actually owned a pony for her but Renee was never really into animals so that Pony went back to the girl who owned him before me and then I kind of got out of riding and showing horses as I got busier with work and saving for a house. I might have enjoyed visiting with the pony even more than the kids! LOL Thanks for watching and hope you're having an amazing day!! 💗💜💙

Hi Karina! Yes, I actually took a little bit of my sewing thread and just made a knot on each corner to tie it to the backdrop stand. If you use this kit, but no backdrop stand, you could probably use some of the glue dots to hold it to the wall? I'm not 100% sure it would work but I'd being willing to give it a try if that was my only option 😊

Thank you Karina Silva ! I stuck the balloons in alternating one of each color (like pink, purple, teal, white, and repeat) and then I spread out the confetti ones. I rub the balloon to make static on it so the confetti pieces stick to the sides. Hope you have a wonderful party!!!!

The Life of Jenelle I actually didn’t use a recipe for the sugar icing 🙊 but if you take powdered sugar and mix little bits of corn syrup, water and a drop of vanilla extract if you want... you can add your liquids just a few drops at a time till you get the consistency you want. I aim for a toothpaste - like consistency for the outline and then I add a few more drops of water to thin it out a little bit and then aim for a corn syrup like consistency to flood the inside part. You also want to make sure the cookies are fully cooled first and then let the icing dry thoroughly ( I let mine sit out a couple hours) before storing them in an airtight container 😊 Hope that helps!!
