sorry I just saw this, I bought 10 meters (10.9 yards) and used all of it. It was extremely puffy but I managed to tame it to something manageable it is cute - i used black. I apologize for responding late

Thandi M I’m making this for my niece. My only question is how do you fasten the belt? Will the tule be in the way?

Just tried and works like magic! Perfectly fluffy. We just used heavy cotton string instead of a belt and tied it together. Used about 10 yards for my daughter's 26 inch waist - one Walmart bolt that was $9. Would guess you should plan on a half yard per inch or so? Thanks so much!
