Wow, Sharon! The Specimen Box, what a treasure! Dark and moody isn't my jam, but you've created some amazing pieces. The drippy paint technique turned out so rich and luscious, that would definitely try my OCD, LOL. I think have some puppy training pads on hand would be good to use under your project would helps with the drippy mess.

I have a little box shaped exactly like your specimen box. When I thrifted it, it was painted gold with angels decoupaged on the lid. You have inspired me to create a little fairy home with this box! Thanks for the idea. I loved all your projects.

Idk what has happened but I’m combing through your channel because I love what you do so much. Anyway, videos I know I have watched before, liked and saved in my numerous albums are lied or saved as I re-watch. Hopefully it somehow gives you 2 likes per video but it’s frustrating to know nothing is saved and my likes aren’t there anymore. I hope watching the videos more than once also helps out your channel. I agree with a comment on another video that a dark and moody channel would be amazing. I understand wanting to create videos everyone likes to get more viewers. However, I can personally tell when a creator is really doing what THEY love to do. In my opinion there is no one like you on KZread. I’m always so inspired when I watch you. I'm not sure I realized how much I do like dark and moody. I also haven't ever seen a specimen box I liked, let alone loved❤. The box turned out beautiful. I believe that is a vintage (or reproduction) writing or 'secretary' box. It probably housed ink wells, maybe mailing adhesive, maybe small pieces of paper, etc and the bottom probably was made for quill tips and other writing supplies. Lovely way to upcycle it!

Totally love the purply black box with the stencil it is so cute it looks like a lot of work but I love it. I would have it in my house. also I really like the way that you did the butterflies, I would like one if it was a bat. The little journal was really neat. The mushrooms r my favorite on the box. I loved this! Just found you today!! Do you have a video about your small mushroom junk journal??? That was Amazing! and I’d love to see how you did that (even though you said you’ve moved on to this new medium).

As usual, the restoration and paint jobs are perfection. The plates and picture frames were great, but I would have put the butterfly decals on thin stiff cardboard, and then put a spacer beneath them so they'd stand out in 3D. But can't say I'm fond of the insect and frog and butterfly decals on the specimen box and the rest of the items. There's no design to their placement and it's like a child decorated the items by just sticking stickers over everything. Less is more would have been best here. I wouldn't have used the black and white napkin on the interior shelf, but would have found some botanical paper instead to keep to the theme.
