Thank you for this knowledge! A predator got some kind of dove/pigeon in a field near me and I picked up the scattered flight feathers. I wanted to try and make something with them, but it's difficult to find methods for attaching feathers that don't use some kind of glue or plastic, which I really dislike using. I'm going to try this on feathers with a smaller shaft and see how it goes :) thank you!

A half moon notch can also be cut on the back side of the quill and the tip is then bent and the tip reinserted into the top end of the notch on the quill. I like how you are doing it though. On feathers your method leaves more quill length. I was just taught the other method when young. Best regards.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am or how much I appreciate it. I am 63 and I have loved the native culture since I was 10 years old. There is an incredible amount of beauty, artistry and knowledge in the creations made by our indigenous brothers & sisters. Thank you for sharing. I can definitely see why you like natural sinew. How do you identify it in a carcass, say maybe a Turkey? How to harvest & store it? I look forward to your future videos.
