Hi guys, welcome back to my channel My name is PEKGEE.
Chinese New Year is just around the corner! Over the years, things have changed a lot! You can actually find a lot of different Chinese New Year celebrations around town. While, this week video I`m going to show you guys how to make your own modern cheongsam to get ready jump right into the Chinese New Year aroma.
Cheongsam, how far it have come. From one-note figure-hugging embroidered silken dresses in predictable print, it`s now available in materials from lace and jacquard to cotton and linen. Cheongsam are a jumpsuit; are pants and a top; It can be a caped blouse or a flowy frock. These days, we're not just worn Cheongsam during Chinese New Year. We are worn all year round, and no one will question why. And we love it.

I tried making this but ended up sewing my finger to the fabric 😂 Guess I'll stick to buying one instead!

It s lovely Qipao I love but may I ask you something you put A4 inside collar right which mean you can't wash your Qipao? ❤

Hey dear, for the collar part I putting interlining to make the collar more in shape ☺️...im sorry to make you confuse as I didn't mention in the video....thanks so much for your comment and I will time to time review my video and try to improve me tutorial 🙏🙏 ❤️❤️and thanks again loving this Qipao 🤗

hi! thanks for the tutorial. may I please know what did you use on the edges? I've been trying to find bias tape that looks like that, but im starting to think its not bias tape lol

Hey dear….thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel. For the edges, yes I’m using bias tape but is satin bias type so it is abit stretchable compare to the cotton bias tape.

Heyy, thanks for the tutorial! I actually have a question. Is it inappopriate to wear such a cheongsam style as a non chinese person? Because I love that kind of stye but I dont feel comfortable wearing it before not knowing more about it.

Hey dear please don’t think that way. Actually is it totally ok to wear it 🤗…..for my own opinion, we wear, love and appreciate every single pices of fashion in the world. This is the way we show respect and value the fashion or even the culture ❤️. And of course that will be great to knowing more about Chinese culture or cheongsam as it even bring more meaning while we wearing it 😉. I’m not sure my sharing is helping or not, yet I really happen to see your comment and wish my KZread channel bring some fun to you 🤩…..
