    I wish I could leave sugar cube molds on the table in my backyard. It would probably start a turf war between the little black (what we in southeastern US refer to as 'piss ants') ants & the ever-encroaching fire ants. I'm pretty sure the 'piss ant' tribe are the guilty party that stole my outdoor table & it's umbrella, although I don't understand why they took the umbrella since it's always cool & shady in the trenches beneath the lush grass of my lawn. It's possible they're using the umbrella to mask the table. It's rumored that the moles might be joining in the battle for control of the lawn. If it wasn't for my Buddhist beliefs & the fact it's illegal in the state where I live, I'd put out poison to rid our lawn of the moles once & for all. My beliefs haven't stopped the poisoning of fire ant hills as they come up; hwr, my husband is a very lax Christian so I can sort of blame it on him. LOL! Nice video & info on how to make the sugar cubes without having to turn on the oven. It's just sad that I wouldn't have any left by the time the ants found any I'd make & it wouldn't take them long. Thank goodness for Terro. It's borax & sweetener. We always put it in areas where the cats & dogs couldn't get to it. The little piss ants seem to be worse inside during the super hot & more dry period of the summer months. Nothing can stay out. Everything goes in the fridge or the freezer so as not to attract or encourage those little piss ants.

    Mine didn't dry after 12 hours. I even put them by the window and by the fire. I live in California. Mine were made with lemon juice. The mix was a little more noise, like a lip scrub, but it wasn't too moist. Will it eventually dry? It was about 2 tbs and 1 cup of sugar. 😔

    I’m sorry but, horses can NOT have treats in circles. As they can not be sick, if they choke on them they will not be able to sick them back up.

  • @Saddleupandride

    @Saddleupandride

    6 жыл бұрын

    I completely understand where you are coming from and your concerns, however it is actually quite difficult for horses to choke like humans as ‘choke’ in horses is food stuck/blocking the oesophagus, and it is very very easy for you to see if they are suffering from choke because they will obviously become very distressed, and like you said horses are unable to be sick so vet action would be needed to be taken to sort it out! However due to their small size and the fact that he would be fed them in the day as a treat, where he is always supervised it would be highly unlikely for him to develop it, especially without us noticing! As it is most commonly caused by their feed, hence why soaking it before feeding can make it more easy to swallow for horses prone to it. Also don’t forget plenty of horses have sugar cubes and polos and they are fine... just crunch them and swallow them! Thank you for your concern though, and I hope I’ve helped to clear things up for you! X

    DIY FOUNDER CUBES. DO NOT FEED THESE TO YOUR HORSE THEY ARE UNHEALTHY TOO MUCH SUGAR CAUSES FOUNDER.

  • @Saddleupandride

    @Saddleupandride

    I understand that a very high sugar diet can cause laminitis (founder) trust me I know, Blue has had it before! However the sugar cubes are treats, meaning they should be fed as treats... maybe 1-2 a day. And that is ok for most horses. It’s all about knowing your personal horse and if they are allowed it or not and how many they are allowed :) x

    Ponylover Madden actually it’s fine for horses it may depend on the horse but if you only feed your horse 1 or 2 it’s fine trust me. You should research before you comment something that isn’t true.

    I made a youtube account to support my friend ellie to like and comment on her videos because she puts a large amount of effort into them. Its sad you use your channel to comment things that are un-needed to say and that you use it to hate on people who are just trying to produce a helpful video!! And plus I dont think the horse cares the sugar cubes aren't cubes...
