    Michael - I used a Sony A7S to film this. Has pretty good dynamic range, always made sure to under-expose, and bring up the shadows in post.

    I was expecting more bs when you said 'resin', like all these projects I saw when they use litres of it just for it to be sanded down to 1mm layer and it was very nice surprise to see it just done done. Besides, all these moments 'crap, it's broken now' or 'ffs, that bloody thing won't let me flip it over' were just hilarious. First of all, you're cool, dude. Second- made me want to make this desk right now! 🙂

    Thanks for the comment, Isabella! Yeah this was my first desk build... so I only watched other people a little. It's definitely got some parts that could be re-resined but it turned out pretty nice for my first time. Thanks for watching!

    Where did you source the main desk support legs from?

  • @jaredlichtenberg

    @jaredlichtenberg

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi! I actually recycled them from an old computer desk (probably 20+ years old) however I was able to look up some decent looking table legs on Ikea's website. I'd check there! Or check used office furniture stores for used tables with good legs on them.

    Hi Danilo - At the end of the day, I think I use about 7 kilos of resin on this desk. It could have used a little more though, actually to fill in some of the cracks.

    Ha! Didn't claim to know what I was doing. If you watched the rest of the video, you will see the "low grade wood" is cast in resin, the wood *shouldn't* tweek/quirk/crook and twist when submerged.
