    I really love your videos, you have a new subscriber. I don't know about my fellow subscribers but I really wouldn't mind a "deep dive" (PUN intended) into the process, I noticed you showed how you apply the foam, but never got to see how you decided to go in the end.

    We are thinking about a pond but we are on an Artesian Well….We have to think about this some more. We also have winters with freezing temperatures! You are in Texas and we are in Newfoundland, Canada 🇨🇦

    @gbltheolechurch5acrehomestead; I live in Ontario Canada. I built a pond & river in my back yard 4 years ago. It winters well. I've left the fish (Koi & pond gold fish) in there over the winters as well & haven't lost one. I stop the waterfall &pump around end of October; stop the feeding around 9*C & add a water heater to allow the gases to escape. That's it. Thnx Hoss.

    Hi sir, I noticed that in the beginning of the video, you have the stagnant water, but in the end, the water is moving, could do please do more explanations on how to actually make water move?

  • @TheStump29

    @TheStump29

    16 күн бұрын

    @@perternotpan I just turned the pump on. The pump couldn’t be started until the stream was done, because that’s how the water gets from the intake bay, to the pump, underground through flex pipe, into the wetland filter, through the stream, and back into the pond

    This looks awesome, great job man! I currently have 4 smaller DIY ponds with turtles and fish. Id really like to make one big pond similar to yours to combine them all! Is there any chance you're able to give a ballpark breakdown on cost?

  • @TheStump29

    @TheStump29

    12 күн бұрын

    @@axlmcintosh6148 Yeah mine cost about $25k. There’s a lot that can vary based on location though. For example $5k of my cost was in running power to my external pumps and having the pond grounded by professional electricians to meet safety codes.

    @@TheStump29 btw that really great idea of using plastic pallets and barrell with a pipe instead of buying Aqua center blocks and their centerpiedee module stuff. Basically it does same thing. I might use your design too to save up atleast some cost :)

    That is AMAZING! Well Done Sir. Few Questions: Re. Liner in the Stream area. Did you seam it? What adhesive did you use to seam it? How did you layer it? top end=under/over, & Lower end=over/under ? Thnx Hoss

  • @TheStump29

    @TheStump29

    16 күн бұрын

    @@Hosstyle. thank you sir! So the liner going from the wetland to the stream is seamed and the stream section going into the pond is just overlapped on top of the pond liner. There’s a big enough drop to prevent water from getting underneath. I just used a seam kit that I got online. I believe it’s from Webbs Water gardens. Basically used a primer, then a double sided “tape” to connect the liners, then put another single sided cover tape on top of that. There’s some videos on KZread that do a great job showing how to do It. I recommend Tussey Landscaping’s video.
