The other day I noticed squirrels wandering around in our backyard. My son loves animals so I decided to make a squirrel feeder. When a squirrel stands on the platform, the lid will open, allowing the little critter to access the food inside. Near the end of the video, you can see the cute squirrel getting snack from the feeder.
I also noticed peanuts seem to attract squirrel the most. There were also a few birds visiting the feeder, but none of them were able to get the food.
- One piece of 5' Cedar fence picket (from Home Depot)
- Everbilt Hobby Hinge (from Home Depot)
- Some plexiglass
- 1" and 2" outdoor screws
