in this video I will make a notch filter for a full-range speaker BG 20.
I removed the tweeter dome from this speaker.
now you see the frequency response of the full-range speaker BG 20 with tweeter dome and without tweeter dome .
I will select a notch filter empirically to remove this hump in the frequency response of the speaker.
and I will also add a tweeter Visaton SC 10 N to the speaker.

Amazing video! I was thinking of building a full range voigt pipe style speaker with the bg20 but now I am going to build it with your crossover.

The treble is much cleaner with the SC10N. Good job. Maybe make the cutoff lower in frequency? 6000Hz?

I want to build myself a set with these elements, and with the SC10N at the top of the frequency scale around 8000Hz. But also with good tight bass at the bottom. So that I want a well-built box, well calculated for this speaker element. And perhaps you also want or can post a drawing and calculation of the crossover you tried on the same set. I think this is one of the hardest things to get right, especially listening to white noise, because an even response doesn't necessarily mean good sound quality for music. It could leave the speaker sounding dull. I think tuning the speaker with your favorite genre of music will be best, otherwise you will need an EQ processor because no two songs are alike. Mastering and mixing is also very important. There is no one size fits all.

Linear response is a base for a good sound. From there you can tweak it to your own preference via EQ. Cheers!

For a relatively cheap little speaker, it seems to play quite nicely- without the little dome, on your recordings, by itself. Adding the xover/ tweater makes it very average, to my ears.
