The greasing the pipe sequence was 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
I like how he runs out of breath between each sentence 😂. Your setup is legendary bro! Mad space and close by water. Cheers!
Great project. Thank you so much for sharing.
I put a 9 foot aluminum rafting frame on top of mine. Then used 1 and 1/2 irrigation pipe off that to build my canopy. Purdy sturdy!
I drove inflatable rescue boats of a similar length in open waters for 10 years. When the boats are inflated to correct pressure, they can flex hull wise when hitting/punching through waves of one to two feet high. I hope you used a rounded bit on a router to round the long edges of your floorboard, as to prevent the floor from rubbing/wearing through the hypalon fabric of the hulls. Even better, glue 'wear patches' along the hull which have contact with the timber floor, to avoid a wear hole/hull blowout. You can drive an inflatable on a single inflated hull, yet it's steering characteristics resemble a wayward shopping trolley. I like your design, well done sir.

You should sand the edges and corners round to avoid a posdible puncture, those corners are quite sharp.
This is awesome!!!

Awesome
What your system needs is a super capacitor cell pack connected to the li-ion pack. Lots of diy videos on super capacitor/battery packs. They are cheap, light, solid state, powerful(!), and handle 1 milllion + charge cycles. Also, supercaps will prolong the life of the battery. Nice build though 👍🏼
Add some bimini straps to the front and back on each side. U will have to attach to the top two inside pvc cross beems holding up the solar panel but put them out towards the outside at the joint. Then attach the bottom of the strap out as far as possible on the tubs. May have to glue on an attachment point for all four points front and back each side. That will stop alot of the front to back motion. Can add a cross strap across the back for side to side stabilization also
more videos like this! xD
Listing your gear and sources such as solar panels, charge controller, battery etc, in the video notes would be really helpful.
Not perfect but a good job thanks for sharing gave me some ideas. Lewis

This is really cool, price is high for having it all with electric vehicles.
splendid: "... we like the quiet of the nature..." puts on a massive boombox...
You could use schedule 80 pvc to make your bimini more stable. Not something you can pick up at Lowe's or HD but at a real plumbing supply place you can find it. It would weigh twice what the bimini does now though.
Use straps like a bimini top to secure the top
Cut rubber garden hose for the side, to stop it rubbing through the side of your boat

Nice job. But I would have definitely rounded off the corners on the floor board.👍

Just round of the wood. You want it to be snug and not pop out.
Rounding out the sharp edges would ensure that the wood doesn't puncture the pontoons.
👍👍👍👍👍
I'd sure put a soup can radius on all four of your flooring board corners. Wouldn't hurt to put a small radius router bit on the sides .... follow with some sandpaper and repainting.

A lot are saying that but I’ve not had any issues yet. I may do that just in case.
Part 2!!! ;)
The angels wood meak it 45 degree. Moore sefty.
I have this same boat with a 6hp Suzuki. On the second time out on it we went about 2 miles to one of the local springs. Everything was fine until on the way back when I noticed the doublers holding the seat to the tubes were starting to come loose. Shortly before getting back to the dock I heard a loud whistle and the tubes started going down. I have the wheels also but getting it on my trailer with the tubes deflated was a job. Looking it over I saw multiple places where the doublers and seams were separating. Even if these things could be repaired I would not have confidence to take this boat out again. I contacted the Saturn retailer and sent pictures of all places the material was separating. The reply I got was that they would give me a $100 credit toward a new boat. It seems that retailers just orders these boats from some place in China that makes them with different names on them. No one stands behind these products.

That's a bummer they only offered $100 credit. I've got one of their boats which has held up fine. I've had it for about 3 years, but don't keep it in the water all the time. It was probably in the water for about 2 months last summer & about the same so far this summer, the rest of the time it's been packed up in the garage or in the van. I've noticed that the floor doesn't hold air as long as it used to, maybe about 2 weeks and it needs more pressure.

Yeah, mine has held up well so far but not much use.
I just found your video and I like it. I have wanted to do this for a long time. As far as batteries go, you can build one much cheaper than buying one. Check out the power wall or solar generator videos. I look forward to seeing the end product.

@@PigOutProductions Which battery did you buy and who did you get it from
I intend to use my gas 135hp for high speed use. High speed use is by its very nature noisy and inefficent. But displacement speeds are easy to achieve with low solar power. So adding a solar canopy, extra batteries, and a good electric trolling motor can allow a nice easy speed in quiet peace. Minimal investment for what I get.

You need to add some triangulation to stabilise the bimini. "Y" joints

Some diagonal tie down ropes would also stabilize the frame.

Hi. I am thinking of adding solar to a 135hp 16ft power boat. All these projects, like everything attempt an all encompassing approach. I think his accomplishment of sub plane performance was great. There is a saying. How much speed can you afford? Electric is no different. 25hp electric outboard/battery systems are available.

I don't understand, why is your boat so slow with this 4.0 motor. I have tested my inflatable (3,2 m long, I think it is a bit wider than yours, aluminium floor and inflatable keel), me + my son 150 kg, 2x Torqeedo 26-104 battery, and reached around 23 km/h (around 14,3 mph). Maybe because it is an older model (1222-00), which can achieve 5000W with the V30 propeller. What is the model nr. of your motor? Or maybe the front of the boat was too heavy, and you shoud move a bit backwards.
Have you had any issue using the non Torqeedo battery with the motor? The cost of those batteries is hard to swallow.
@PigOutProductions
3 жыл бұрын
No issues. Just make sure you use a 100ah battery so that the discharge rate is high enough. It was about 1/5 of the price.
How’s the boat now?? Update video?
You could use a Takacat inflatable they get on plane allot easier than the boat you have
@PigOutProductions
3 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that. I looked at some catamarans but didn’t think they would plane much easier.
Any update on your boat? I’m really interested on your custom battery

Too busy to finish just yet. The battery is great. I actually have another one with about half the capacity as a backup or for extra range.
The top is too flimsy for when higher winds hit. Good idea but not the perfect stability you want or need.
Veri nice. Please link of sistem

Boatstogo.com has the inflatables and some of the parts.
Вы водку не по назначению используете . Её надо внутрь . Но не трубы. Но как Вы трубу клеили - видно , что опыт есть ... You don't use vodka for its intended purpose . It should be inside . But not the pipes . But as you glued the pipe-it is clear that there is experience ...
I'm thinking of adding the console, does it work fine?
