    Thanks for watching!! Only thing I should have done was use a wooden float for the earlier stages of the concrete rather than my Marshalltown trowel which should be used more for the final trowels. Happy building

    Great work ! The finish looks like nice and smooth,after the concrete had set did you finish off with another product or sealer ?I'm trying to get a smooth concrete finish but my trowling was not as good as yours and need to some how smooth it down to make good ?

    Thank you! I only sealed the curb edge with a clear coat lacquer the rest I left as it was. Perhaps grab a rub brick to go over the top of yours? That might help smooth it off ? You could always then paint or clear coat sealer afterwards then. Hope that helps

    Hi mate. Thank you! I’m in the UK So used a mixture of 10 shovels of 10mm ballast and half a bag of cement per mix. Hope that helps. Get building!

    Glad you like it! It’s a lot of fun. In the UK the ready mix bags aren’t really that readily available so I knocked it all up by hand. Roughly a tonne bag of 10mm ballast and 8 bags of cement. (A mix of 8 shovels of ballast and half a bag of cement) get building!

    Thank you! No expansion joints needed really as the slabs were only roughly 2 metres in length. Just butting the next slab up against works just fine. Otherwise you’ll end up with a gap and us skaters know how much those cracks mess with our heads haha

    5:59 mark is where you should have used a spray bottle on a mist setting just to pull surface fat along more to fill porous spots. Otherwise great work from start to finish man

    Nice one for the tip. I did see someone doing that after I’d finished as it goes. I’m more of a plasterer so still some learning to be done with the finishing. Very similar though in many respects. 👊🏻

    Thanks!! Low impact goodness haha.. I used a mix of ballast and cement. 12 shovels of ballast to half a bag of cement. (25kg bag) It doesn’t really get dusty, trowel it up right it will have a skatepark finish.. get building!!

    Thanks for watching.. The whole spot, including the first section i did i would say it cost me about £500. Thats for the Ballast, Cement, Timber for formers, Re-bar and the hardcore sub base. Any other questions just shout. Cheers Tim

    I live in the uk where the weather is generally raining so wood just wasn’t an option. Plus wanted to have dual purpose as a hard stand for the basketball net.. Check my other video for the full build. ✌🏻

    I think it was about 300 mm high and a metre deep. 2 m wide.

    @@ventureskater336 it’s 900mm deep and the total height is 310mm.( that includes the curb) The curb is 150mm deep and 70mm high and the flat bank height just before the curb is 260mm. I hope this all makes sense. You can contact me on Instagram if it’s easier . @djtcuts Glade this has inspired you! Plus concrete is definitely far superior to timber. My two sons now skate it all the time and it’s still like new.

    I notice every one of your passes has a cut in the flat section. Guessing you made it too long to keep any momentum going from end to end.

    It was all as planned... You really want a join/cut for expansion every couple of meters. I have each slab joined together by continuing the re bar through to each one. Check my other video to see the process..👊🏻

    @@T-Cuts-Mined I'm referring to a cut in the video. You make it look like you're able to do a trick on one end and carry the momentum to the other and do another trick, like on a mini ramp.. The flat section looks too long to really keep your momentum going for end to end runs. I'm guessing you have to stop and kick or do a run up from one end to another.
