Showing you how to create a beautiful sideboard cabinet by doing a DIY Ikea Hack using the Kallax system!!
The Kallax system is super versatile and provides a ton of storage. I did this ikea hack in order to make the Kallax look more unique and expensive! It was pretty simple to do and can be done to any version of the Kallax system. I used the 8 door version.
Below is everything I used for this Kallax Ikea Hack:
Kallax Shelf: bit.ly/2RZ9FvK
Kallax Door inserts: bit.ly/2S07I27
Overlays: (Harper style): bit.ly/3xsbKj2
Grasscloth: bit.ly/3vBKzkA
Hardware (option I used): bit.ly/2SBovcc
Hardware (other option shown): bit.ly/3cK7IdS
Hope you enjoy it!

I just finished watching another IKEA Kallax hack and told her it was the best one I've seen. Now I see yours is equally as creative and beautiful!

In love with this. Was looking for ideas for 1 of my 3 by 3 cubes and this is perfect! I have 3 and don't need it for renovation to closet I'm doing.

TYFS, I would like to do something similar...but have never tried using peel and stick or an overlay....I figure I may have trouble getting the grass cloth on correctly first try, and not get the overlay on straight or perfectly....yours looks absolutely beautiful, also my favorite Ikea hack I've seen! Thanks for providing the links.

I love what you did with this unit! I just got a Kallax unit for my craft room. Which brand/ color paint did you use? And for the overlays, did you use the 1/8” or 1/4”? Thanks in advance.

How much did it cost you to do this transformation. Do you think it is worth it

Hi there ! It cost a lil over $200 for the supplies to hack it. It’s definitely on the pricier side I’m currently using it to store toys in the living room (the kallax is great for toys) so I wanted it to look nice. I did another kallax update for the playroom that only cost an additional $10 :) maybe I‘ll share that one as well!
