DIY Shower Steamers For Sinus Relief. WITH RECIPE!
***In this tutorial I will teach you how I make my "Breathe" Shower Steamers. Full of lots of effervescent fragrances that are known to help relieve the symptoms of a cold or flu. I sold these in my Etsy shop and they were my absolute best seller.
***Shower Steamers (also called Shower Fizzies, Shower Melts, and Shower Bombs) are similar to Bath Bombs but instead of using them in the tub, Steamers are used in the shower!

    It’s very similar to a bath bomb, so if you are comfortable using those then you should be fine. However, it’s not really great for vagina health to use bubble bath or bath bombs, purely because it can disrupt the ph balance. I always use just water around sensitive parts but manny don’t, it’s kind of a personal thing, you will know what your vagina will and will not like.

    Hmm...I have a few suggestions. You could try placing the steamer closer to you in the shower if possible (in a soap tray, or in a mesh bag around the faucet), you can add more fragrance to the steamer recipe (make sure you keep the liquid portion of the recipe the same - whatever extra fragrance you add, subtract that amount from the amount of Alcohol you add), or you can place the steamer in a bowl of hot water and do a facial steam (BE CAREFUL the water is not too hot and fragrance is not too strong!). Hope this helps!

  • @UntidyArtist

    Excellent question! I have only ever made these with 91% alcohol. I like using the 91% because more of it evaporates out of the steamer giving me a harder steamer and a longer fizz. If you try using the 70% let me know how it works. Hope this helps😘

    Great question! I have only ever used the 91% because so much evaporates out of it, giving you a harder and longer lasting shower steamer. I must say, if I had access to the 99%, I would definitely use it! I would recommend the 99% over the 70%. Hope this helps. Happy crafting my friend!

    A much easier and better and cheaper recipe that lasts 15 mins is a ratio of 3 to 1 baking soda to citric acid.....nothing else is needed..no clay or polysorbate since they are only to go in a shower....you do not want these in a bath.....water is the binder...you can easily add color and fragrance of course....mixing for 4 mins is just a waste of energy....all one needs is a bowl and a whisk and I personally use a spray bottle of water...they go rock hard as well.

  • @UntidyArtist

    @UntidyArtist

    I choose to use alcohol over water because water makes the mixture start to activate while you are mixing them. By using alcohol the mixture doesn’t start to activate as much. The alcohol also evaporates out leaving you with a harder shower steamer. Hope this helps!
