@@hollijacobs7858 I'm 52 and on ssi and it's what I want to do. I have been looking for awhile and I think those shuttle buses would be great too. I want to get one and work on it as I can. Because I have a house I would have to clean out and get rid of and I am sure I would need the time. How long did it take you to do yours?

If you can find a diesel engine bus 115 thousand miles is nothing for a diesel engine provided that it's a good engine from the start and well maintained my suggestion would be to do lots of research before buying

Dandy Dear hound on Facebook marketplace!!! Search for short bus or mini bus or something along those lines! I found a short bus with around 100k miles for $2400

This was very calming to see that this build was very simple. Van life gets discouraging when you see everyone with high tech gear and etc but this was refreshing see

Ive got this exact same bus including the same year and it was a First Student bus. Hmmm... I'm willing to bet we purchased from the same gentleman... I had to smile when I seen the First Student logo on the side of it. Mine drives and handles great and due to it's size it's more like driving a van than a large bulky vehicle. I got mine at the beginning of summer and I've already gutted it and laid a floor down in it and I'm currently setting it up as a small camper. You did a really nice conversion on it.

I got it near youngstown, OH, the guy did have two for sale. I planned the layout for awhile. I actually made a cardboard mini version to see how it would flow! 90% planning, 10% action!!! 😆

I plan on building the same exact bus what a excellent job well done

You can do it too. I spent a couple of months doing nothing but watching KZread videos. I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting into. But you should know how to use basic power tools though. If not start there.

you did a great job!! and that color is what i was gona paint my rv. and e-bike. its a nice clean color that wont show alot of dirt but also looks clean cut, and it has charecter but also not too loud. im a fan of earth tones also

We just bought a small bus to turn into a Skoolie for camping/travel and after the thousands of videos we’ve seen where people put upwards of $20k in a bus this is by far the best video I’ve seen that gets the most bang for your buck. I’m so glad I found your video so now we have something to go off. Absolutely well done while staying budget friendly !

Great bus. I almost bought one, but chickened out... Love that yours is shorter than the full sized ones, but still not a stubby. The one I almost bought was a stubby. Wasn't meant to be. Congrats that you got it done, and kept it simple. Perfect.

That's awesome just what kind of conversion i was looking for! although its still beyond my carpentry knowledge its still doable and simple enough. the only thing i'd do differently is make a wider bathroom area, but then i'm a wider person lol and maybe puta couch with a moveable or swing out table instead of the usual rv booth but this is awesome! i love it and i wish you many many happy times in it!

Thank you for the compliment! I actually thought about the couch table thing, but I wanted another bed for friends to go trail riding and have a place to sleep. Got to go with what works. If you want to build your own, I’d say go for it! If it doesn’t work take it apart and try again. All you need is here on KZread somewhere!

Just found you today and subscribed. Great video. I've been researching converting a van for well over a year. In the last two months I'm thinking more and more about a small bus. I'm closer now after this video to choosing a bus. Hoping I can find one that is going to be perfect for me.

Hang in there, they can be hard to find. I had to drive 3 hours to get this. Then one came up for sale 4 miles from my house! 🤷‍♀️
