DIY ✨ Satin Cord Macrame Bracelet | Elegant Mandala Knot Bracelet with Satin Cord

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today I will show you how to create an original and elegant bracelet using satin cord and beads. Despite its intricate appearance, this bracelet is surprisingly simple to make. This tutorial is suitable for both beginners and experienced crafters. I hope you enjoy this Mandala Knot Bracelet!
A mandala is a complex, abstract design, usually circular in shape, used in various spiritual traditions as a tool for meditation and connection with the spiritual universe. The word "mandala" comes from the ancient Sanskrit language, roughly translating to "circle" or "center." In Hinduism and Buddhism, mandalas represent the universe and are used as meditative aids. Creating and contemplating mandalas helps people focus and achieve a meditative state.
Here, I used 1.5mm satin cord.
Cord sizes:
1 x 150 cm / 59 inch
5 x 6 mm beads
The bracelet may lose its shape if it is pulled, but it easily returns to its original form. See how to do this at 5:49.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ I use different colored cords in the tutorial to make it easier to see where the threads go. However, this tutorial is for a single-color bracelet, and you can continue making it with the same color cord.
To make a bracelet with two colors, take two 75 cm cords of different colors, burn the ends with a lighter, and connect them so that they stick. Alternatively, you can simply tie a knot to create a loop for the clasp or use a different type of clasp.
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoyed crafting this beautiful macrame bracelet with me.

✍ Might be useful: ⭐ The bracelet may lose its shape if it is pulled, but it easily returns to its original form. See how to do this at 5:49. ⭐ Here, I used 1.5mm satin cord. ⭐ Before making the clasp, make sure that the bracelet is the right size and fits your wrist. ⭐ For the clasp, you can use a bead instead of knots. ⚠ I use different colored cords in the tutorial to make it easier to see where the threads go. 💜

How did you do the clasp at the end with the two cords. Sorry this tutorial was a bit confusing. Started off with one cord, then two cords. But still very nice!

Yes, I used two colors as an example to make it clearer. With two colors, it is easier to understand where the thread goes. But this is just an example for now. For myself, I have only made one-color bracelets so far, but with two colors, it looks just as good! For two colors, you need to take two 75 cm cords of different colors, melt the ends with a lighter, and glue them together to make one cord. Or, you can skip connecting them and just tie a knot to make a loop for the clasp.

Sorry for the confusion. For tutorials of single-color bracelets, I sometimes use threads of different colors, since this way the threads are clearly visible 👀

Очень красиво! Но как браслет будет в использовании 🤔 Не деформируется ли он, ведь петли так слабо затянуты.

Thank you! 🌼 Yes, the bracelet should be worn carefully, but it doesn't lose its shape unless it's accidentally pulled. If it does get pulled, you can easily restore its shape. I showed how to do this at 5:49 in the video. I've also tried securing the bracelet's shape with office glue on the back. When the glue dries, the cord becomes less flexible and holds its shape better. Alternatively, you can make a few stitches with a needle and thread on each element. You can experiment with these methods if you don't want to worry about the bracelet losing its shape.

Thank you! ❤️ I don't know the specific brand (I bought it by the meter, not the whole spool), but you can look for a cord called “nylon satin cord” or “rat tail satin cord.” They all look similar. Just make sure not to choose a cord that's too thin; 1.5mm or 2mm would work well.

Here, the beads are 6mm with a 3mm hole. It's important to choose beads with a hole large enough for the thread

In the video, I'm using two different colors as an example to make it clearer. I made a footnote about this in the video, but it’s probably not very noticeable 🥲 You should keep doing everything in one color. The different colors are just to show where the thread goes more clearly
