DIY Rustic Floating Shelves with LED Under Lighting

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Join me as I go over the DIY build of these rustic floating shelves with LED lighting underneath. These are made to look like one solid piece of wood that has been weathered and damaged, giving the shelves a one of a kind look. These can be made to pretty much any size. I used 1x10 and 1x8 pine boards.

    Stay away from light metal that is hollow. Those will resonate with the large subs. I am thinking figures from your favorite movies that are solid plastic or metal. Purely for the bounce around problem.

    Yea I'll probably have to watch things that are too light... There's some vibrations (obviously lol) but I don't know if it would be enough to knock anything off. Not within a few movies anyways...

    Great job as always. Question: Why did you have to cut the 45 degree, and then use the miter saw?. Not sure the difference in the cuts? Why not use your table saw if its just at a different angle?

  • @LifeofBliss

    @LifeofBliss

    4 жыл бұрын

    It was still a 45 degree angle. It was just easier cutting the short edge of the long boards on the miter vs trying to slide those long boards on the table saw. Just personal preference. You could do it on the table saw if you wanted

    Did the one LV transformer serve all of the recessed LED lights??? If not, how many did you utilize? This is beautiful work my man. How did you split the 16 gauge wire running to each LED? Thanks in advance!!!

  • @LifeofBliss

    @LifeofBliss

    3 жыл бұрын

    One LV transformer. Just calculate the total wattage draw and get on suitable for it. The LEDs just had a positive and negative ran to each, piggy backed off each other. As long as you make a positive to negative loop throughout all the lights back to the transformer

  • @codydonovan7356

    What's the exact lights you used? Was it all a complete kit? Did the 12v converter come with it or did you buy that separately? Also, do you have to use banana plugs or was that something you wanted to use?
