For some reason, this video made me think of what my aunt calls "Raymond Tile," after the town where her landlord put the so-called tile up. The landlord went round to all the construction companies in the nearby city, and got all their scrap 2x4. From 6" all the way to 36". He then took a router to them, and then screwed them to the wall, giving it a wood-tiled look.

Al i love the door..You're a great carpenter but please do me a favor and make a push stick for end cutting on the table saw..you're scaring the heck out of me..i dont mean to be a worrywart but i have seen so many accidents from not using a push stick...thumbs up my friend...job well done

I haven't seen anyone give the answer to the door project Al is building. So I'll add that I think that he is replacing the zipper door on the tool shed with two swinging barn doors. Maybe a place to store the Kobota during the winter and a lot easier to get into than that roll up door.

I think your going to need to add rails on both vertical edges for hinges and lockset. Turning out well and with a tung oil finish it should look great.

i think you should add vertical boards on each side of the diagonal. it will look framed out. yes? no?

it looks good for a rustic style home, it would not go in my house. It would be better to sand and stain/poly it to finish it. Also would look nice if it were made from other woods like cherry, maple, oak.

all that wood needs is a clear coat, its too pretty to stain it. i used tong oil on stuff like that, let it age naturally.
