数多くのルーフテントが販売されていますが、納得のいるものはなかなか見つかりません。 アメリカのGo Fast Campersを参考に製作を始めました。 なかなか大変ですが楽しいです。

Hi, this is the best diy roof top tent that i have ever seen in youtube. Thanks for valuable explanation. I wonder that which type of gas piston are you used in this project? Size & power (Newton). What is the total weight of tent?

The total weight of the tent is 55kg. Weight will vary depending on how you secure it on top of the vehicle. For example, the number of frames placed in the lower frame, or eliminating the frames placed in the upper part. I will describe the page where you can see the details of the shock damper used. I buy most of the parts from that site. The reason I used a strong damper is because I used a thick fabric. 撥水処理された生地を使用することが大切。 生地を複雑に縫い合わせてファスナーを付ける。 内側にメッシュを付ければ虫の侵入を防ぐことができる。

Have you thought about a double pop up to create a larger box shape using the same frame style stacked on top of the current frame but reversed?

I had never thought of that method. Certainly, if it is a two-stage type, you can use a wider space. However, it does not do so because it increases the height when stored.

Thank you, the space in the bed is 2000x1200 and is semi-double size. I will think about it if I want to widen the upper part in the future

I bought the fabric from a typical Japanese shopping site called Rakuten. I use a nylon rubberized double layer water repellent fabric. You can purchase different colors of the same fabric, so I will post the URL. Most parts are purchased via the internet. All I bought at the store was a needle and an aluminum screw pipe. Frames, special bolts and nuts, connecting brackets, etc. are available at 80/20 inc 8020.net/, but you'll have to find the important fabrics and fasteners yourself. I bought the gas damper on the side and the honeycomb panel on the top and bottom plates on the Internet.
