Im not sure why I never thought to do this....but I do know I am going to be buying up every pumpkin I see and painting it with black chalk paint this weekend!

I love the bronze kissed pumpkins too 🎃. I have a bin full of the dollar tree foam pumpkins I bought when they still were $1, I think I’ll try your techniques and see what I get. They’ll look better than they do now at least 😂.

Love these - I generally don't decorate with pumpkins because of how cheep they can look but now I need to get some pumpkins to paint; lol!

I took aluminum foil and twisted it into a stem very much like the Michaels pumpkin,then spray painted it black mat, hot glued it to my 5$ pumpkins and voila!😊

A flour sifter might work better to distribute the powder. Beautiful pieces NO one will ever be able to tell they are not the high end expensive pottery barn.

I am in love! I went and bought five from dollar tree waiting for this diy! I am shocked that the lighting is so good in this pumpkin. It looks like a real candle. Love all of the pumpkins♥️♥️

Love them all! Last year, I had my college freshman daughter and her friends over to carve pumpkins. One of these may be this year’s project.

They take the chalk paint so well they really look so awesome. I love them. Just make sure you do at least two layers or you’ll see the orange glow through the paint when the pumpkin is on

You’ll be able to tell when they light up if it shows through just use a little touch up paint

Love all the pumpkins, especially the bronze one. Did you find they needed some sealer? Glad I hadn't started on my Dollar Tree pumpkin, your ideas are much better!

I love these but get so bummed when the diys are from the plus section. There are literally no DT Plus stores within 100 miles of me. 😢 Maybe one day! Everything is GORGEOUS though!!

No it’s actually bronze paint from a pack of Michaels acrylic paints

Love this!! When lit up they appear orange lighted. Im looking for that. I found them at Dollar General. At Home has some similar ones. Im on my way to buy two 5” and two 8”. Do the metal ones have lighting in them? Thanks!

can you link where you buy your paint and same color paint. Ive noticed they have numbers on the bottles. I tried searching for this exact brand/color but i dont have any luck. I love the video by the way!
