DIY Portable Solar Generator in a Toolbox

Ғылым және технология

We build portable solar power generators to meet all our off-grid and emergency electrical power needs. No more worries about having enough gas or propane for that old emergency power generator. You can use solar generators all year long to provide clean earth-friendly power to your home, workshop, shed, camper or off-grid cabin.
We will describe every component that we used in the solar generator, show you how we reconfigured a standard metal truck box, and demonstrate the operation of the system.

Other than the way you parralled your batteries ,its an easy set up. The parallel wiring is wrong, works but wrong. You should of had a positive coming from one batter but the negative coming from opposite battery. They will not charge equally with that wired configuration you have there. you will kill the first battery a lot sooner.

What really great is that you are using a metal box. Any outside interference is blocked out like an EMP as long as you ground the box to earth ground. A modern day faraday cage

Putting batteries in series doubles the voltage and we would end up with a 24 V battery system. I need a 12 V battery system so parallel is the correct way to do it.
