Great video. One thing I'd recommend for anyone making one of these is screw cover caps (you can get 50 for like $3 at lowes/Home Depot to cover the screws in the wood in white or black). You can also use a wood putty to fill in the seams for the top piece with wood glue on the dowels to better secure it. Wood putty works great as a filler and can be painted, I use it for projects from building to repairing scrapes in my hardwood floors.

Fantastic video TMIDD! Affordable, multi-use, clean, and well designed. Some of the best tips for photographers are how to use your hands and brains to make your photos better. You really hit it out of the park with this post. I did carpentry for years when I first got out of school - and there's 100 ways to do any project - yours is very well thought out (which I expected considering your job). TY - great video, great change from the typical "photo videos" we see.

Props for a well done step by step Video..I have over 50 years experience working with wood I was a C-6 contractor " Cabinetry and mill work... I also do model photography and have been wanting to make a similar white box for a model prop...I like how you built yours with the pre cut 3/4 plywood.. I wanted mine to look great but also light weight as possible..I made mine with a frame and skined it with 1/4 inch plywood..No screws just a few 1 1/4 pin nails and Tight Bond glue..I have a tip if you build a new size in the future. Instead of spray paint. You can get a paint in 1 quart cans at Home Depot called KILTZ it come in a flat white and is used mostly as a primer for bare wood..With two coats you will have a durable finish that can be touched up if needed. Just apply with a brush...lightly hand sand after the first coat dries..Better than a gloss finish for for photography ( No Glare or unwanted reflections...Keep the videos coming I love watching them !!

Thanks a ton for sharing your knowledge as a c-6 contractor! This is exactly why I made this video because it wasn't any geared toward photogs and I knew that we would have others who could chime in with beneficial tips so that anyone else that comes along and needs to travel this path can have a little less stress. Thanks for the insight and supporting my channel!
