In this video I will combine a cheap PIR motion sensor with a TC35 GSM module to build an alarm system which sends you an "INTRUDER ALERT" SMS whenever somebody tries to steal your stuff.

Dear friend, I have build this project and it's working great. I modified it for using a reed switch and rf module to make reed wireless. Combined your earlier project RTC to this and the sms comes with time of trigger. Removed the warning alarm from the code and Added a counter to the code so that if reed rf is off it too sends a sms that alarm is not working with time. Thanks for teaching us with simplifying code and arduino. U r great. Hope that u continue making more videos. Rahul

Amazing to watch older videos and realize not only how far some tech has come, but the implications of such changes. On one hand, you probably need at least a 3G capable module to get this to work on a new line by now. On the other hand, that 5V 3A power supply could be replaced with a tiny GaN USB-C PD charger. And those are getting cheaper all the time too. :) Edit: RIP G+ :(

These days, you could use an ESP8266 to send the SMS via WiFi (for those wondering how: you have the ESP8266 send an email to the SMS gateway that your cell provider makes available.Every cell provider has one.) I did this for a project that sends me an SMS when my house's mailbox is opened.

Good video, the sms feature is a useful if your sat home or nearby, otherwise it would just tick you off before you got home to see your stuff gone. Having the alarm incorporated in the same box makes me wonder why the thief would not just shut if off.

I made mine so you can send SMS to alarm to arm it or disarm it. Alarm will SMS you back saying if its ARMED or DISARMED. Also has RED and GREEN LEDs for status and in case of trigger it will SMS you with input 1 or input 2 in alarm and will turn on the siren. Also has little LCD module to show all the same things... unfortunatelly 2G is not a thing anymore and all my projects are on-hold.

Excellent video, would love to combine this with 2-3 Raspberry Pi Zero W and IR Night Vision Cameras using a Raspberry Pi as a server in your housing box that also uploads videos to your cloud as well as on a 2.5" HDD. This could be done discretely without the Sim Card because MotionEyes OS can send you an email which also sends a notification to your phone.

Very nice, but an intruder can flip the on/off switch. I think it is better to put the on/off switch somewhere else. Also you can use a Straight Hinge Lever Mini Micro Switch in the case to prevent someone open up the case and turn off the alarm. Connect the micro switch to the alarm so that the alarm detects opening the case and send you a text message.
