thank you, I try :)
Thanks for this tutorial! I bought the pattern and some plain cotton canvas---my grocery bags seem to get dirty so I wash them fairly often. I like the idea of using these for gift bags, too.
Svetlana, I love your patterns. This one I sewed as a diaper bag with cute waxed canvas seahorses.
I NEED these bags!! Perfect for shopping, gifts, projects... thank you for sharing! 🥰

Glad you like them!
I have just bought the pattern. I find your patterns very clear with good photography. I love your work! Thank you 👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️
This is such a great bag! Easy and beautifully designed. I got a bit OCD/fussy with the crinkled look at the end so I ironed mine on really low heat, just enough to soften the wax and smooth out the crinkles.
So glad to see you again. Great bag!!

Beautiful bag and so relaxing watching you. I have other wax canvas bags and love their look and durability. Hoping my Kenmore machine will be able to handle all the thicknesses and handles.

I totally understand. That's why I went with this thin version of waxed canvas (also called dry oilskin) and lightweight webbing for the handles. Have fun!

Thanks so much for your reply. I’ll be sure to look for the lighter weights for both.

I always think I know what you’re going to do, and there’s always a twist or two! I love that ☺️ I haven’t seen the bottom finished like that before, incorporated into the french seams, and I love how the handles become a holder to pack it up! And while I love the structure it provides, the lack of ironing required, and crinkled look of waxed canvas, I find it leaves my hands just a tad sticky, and worry about that transferring to whatever is put in the bag, or what you put the bag on. I find it interesting how popular it is, and wonder why I seem to be the only one who feels this way? I’ve only tried it once, maybe I got a “sticky” piece? Are there different quality’s of it?

I know what you mean. That's why I only get a small piece when first buying from a new seller, so I can test it out. I usually had better luck with what's called "dry oilskin" from Merchant and Mills and now "dry waxed canvas" from Zipper Zoo online shops.

I love seeing your videos in my notifications! Can you tell me what foot is on your machine?

Thank you :). It's a standard foot that came with my Juki machine.
love this pattern! Do you recommend rivets or X's on the straps for extra strength?

Yes, you totally could do that. Either one would work great.
