LOL. My mom just turned 89. She does tend to carry a lot with her too.

Thank you! I would love to see how you hang this bag from a wheelchair and a walker! Pretty! 💜

Thanks. You tie it on the front. It's a pattern the group gives out. You can line the bag if you use thinner material.

I like doing a French seam on the sides, bottom too if there is a seam.

I'm not sure what that is, but my sister is going to teach me a different way to do the bottoms. I'm going to be visiting her in a couple weeks.

I love French seams for my bags! I make the seams in the bags extra strong. Look it up on KZread.

I was thinking that it would look neater to have the end of the strip tucked under the seam.

Probably so. I think lining the bags would be great too. I'm limited with time. Maybe this summer I can play with the pattern a little to see what I can do with it.

Yes. I agree. If I make any more I will line them. I will have more time for sewing now that I'm retired.

Great tutorial! Did you use canvas, and was there a lining?

I used upholstery material. It didn't have a lining, but you could put a lining in it if you want.

Looks like you don't have your top thread thru the last thread guide before it goes thru the needle.

I read the comments just to see if anyone noticed that also. But stitches look nice.
