DIY: Lotus Candle Holder

Hey guys! Today I will show you how to make a lotus inspired candle holder out of oven-bake polymer or air dry clay! Growing from the mud and blooming towards the sky, a lotus symbolizes purity, spiritual awakening, revival and fortune.
► Things you will need:
- Oven-bake Polymer Clay (or Air Dry clay) amzn.to/1XxKoAm * (I used Fimo air dry before but it didn't work out great!)
- Rolling pin
- Cookie cutter that is about the same size as your tea candle
- Acrylic paint & brushes to colour the candle holder
- Shiny Glaze / Varnish

This is one of those tutorials where you say to yourself, "That woman is a genius! Why didn't I think of that?" Even though these votive holders look complex, their crafting is made simple with this clear, efficient tutorial. I am definitely going to try this project! Thanks for sharing!

I love this! I'm going to try and make one out of stoneware clay, and if we have some porcelain at my school I'll make one with that too. Porcelain is translucent when it's thin enough so the light should shine through slightly :)

This was so lovely 😍 I enjoyed this tutorial very much. Simple, and to the point. Do you know I have seen these candle holders for $35-$50 in the department stores here in the US. (depending on the size) So learning how to make them myself is so exciting!! I will give this a try!! Thanks again!😀
