Tony, your patterns are awesome. In the last 2 years I have made one of each of most of your patterns. Sometimes I make changes, to add a pocket to a pack etc. This is a great hobby for my retirement. Keep up the great work. Since I needed a new pair of slippers, this is the perfect project at this time.

I love your work and presentation. I,m one who eschews patterns although I respect the use thereof. Your precision is astounding. I prefer stitching thongs to your punch method. However, your stitching is exemplary. Thank you for the great design and technique details you so willingly share. As an old school shoe repairman I appreciate the sharing of such. It was not an everyday occurrence in my circle. You do us proud. Your skill is consistently exceptional. Thanks again for your inspiration.

Tony, Just wondering where you got the foam sole for your slippers? I have some 3mm crepe rubber sole material but its rather rough. So if you could let us know where you sourced the rubber sole material it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

You can do a search for "rubber shoe outsole" and find either sheets of outsole material or pre-cut soles that can be glued then trimmed to fit. Be sure to take note of the size when ordering. The pre-cut soles will be a little oversized, but if your pattern is not very similar to the shape of the pre-cut sole, you may have to order larger soles. I suggest buying sheets because you can repair your sandals or slippers once the sole is worn out. (Just use pliers to peel the old sole off at a sharp angle and the glue will peel away.)

I’d sue like to know where you get that thread/what kind it is. Any white our paddle thread I’ve used discolors significantly rather quickly as I stitch. Yours appears to remain pristine white. I love the contrast in some things and would like to pull that off myself.

Hi Tony, thank you for the pattern going to make my boy's some for Christmas. Can I ask what your using on the soles, the white material your putting a stitching groove in, is that white leather or what. I am going to the leather shop today and thought I would pick up materials to make these house slippers so just checking. Also, do you use waxed nylon thread for the hand stitching or a different type of thread? Thanks again Tony, keep up the good work

Hi Tony, I have some rubber I bought for shoes one sheet is 4mm and a solid black rubber and the other one I have is 5mm thick and has a tread on the bottom I have it to keep from slipping I guess. Both are black which one of these would you use or would you just try to find a different kind on the internet? Is there a place you can recommend where I could buy some for these slippers, didn't know what thickness to look for really so any help would be appreciated. Thank you Tony, can't wait to make these slippers for the men in my life.

@@DieselpunkRo Found John James Needles for hand sewing leather on eBay for best price by far. They only go up to 62mm length but they get fairly thick. I purchased the #18 57mm x 1.09mm. The Tandy leather needles that I have been using are 62mm x 1.53. I've been using them for a long time but a little thick going through the holes. You can not cross both needles through the hole as you show. Just no way as they are almost the same diameter as the hole. So it would be nice if I could find the long needles you use. Where do they come form? Thanks for everything....
