    Everyone's all caught up on whether or not he has two washers or a washer and dryer, and how great he used the space. I am stuck on what kind of landlord makes such a nice laundry space for renter. I have never seen such a nice laundry space in a rental property, especially when that space was provided by the landlord

    FYI we just got rid off our front load washer. because of mold in the door gasket. You need to wipe gasket dry every time and leave door open when not in use Also we got the washer and dryer with the least electronics which saved a lot and they have a 10 year warranty...

    Only complaint is that it was just left unpainted. Seems to clash with the area in this case. Either paint it white like the ledge, use a white cover/board over the ply, or perhaps use melamine for the countertop.

    Mate, I'm guessing you didn't do very much research on the washer. Something like 80% of people with front loading washers hate them. The seal from the doors go bad and get pretty nasty very quickly.

  • @nils1953

    @nils1953

    6 жыл бұрын

    Highly doubt you did your research with "80%". Front loading washers are very common in europe, and are quite popular here. Maybe cheaper washing machines have that problem, but I have the same good old 22 year old washing machine and it´s rubber seal holds up very well.

  • @urbanequinox

    @urbanequinox

    6 жыл бұрын

    I have the same brand as the ones he got (LG) and after 8 years of constant use, have no issues with the seal. I've heard that issues with mildew are simply not letting the unit air out (which is really only an issue with front loading because the strength of the seal makes it air tight) so I leave the door open after emptying my laundry and close it later (it airs out quickly).

    There are many places throughout the United States without enough sun or space to dry clothes outdoors regularly. Electric or gas dryers (which look just like front loading washers) are paired with the washers. Aside from real reasons? somehow we've been convinced that we need both.
