Love the extra outer strap for sliding onto the handle of your luggage on wheels. Just the perfect bag for travelling. Your finish on all your projects are super!👌

So I made this and it turned out really nice I tagged you on Facebook. I will say for beginners the 3 pieces of fabric measuring at (17 1/2”x 8”) for the bottom part should add a little slack maybe a 1/4” extra fabric so you have room to sew it that 0.5 inch all the way around. I had to do a few touch ups with a needle and thread but I love it and I’m going to make another for my mom for Mother’s Day.

I was looking for a bag to give as a bridesmaid gift but wasn't satisfied with ones i could buy online so i turned to KZread for sewing ideas. Came across your video and i cant look at anything else! Its perfect because my sister (my bridesmaid) and i travel a lot. Thank you!!!!!

Nice! Easy to understand and follow! You gave all the measurements and materials and your vid shows all anyone needs to know to make this bag. The best instruction sewing video I ever seen. Great also because there is no chatter just the sewing. Thanks for posting and will need to find the materials and a working sewing machine to make this! Kudos

I made this lovely bag yesterday. Thank you very much for sharing this! The instructions are easy to follow, all measurements are correct and the bag turned out great. Learning from my own mistakes, here are a few tips for anyone who wants to make it: 1. Don't take fabric that is a bit bulky. I used baby corduroy and it turned out too thick and bulky. I had to sew the last step by hand. 2. Consider basting. If you don't have pins or clips in the way, sewing is much easier. 3. This project needs ACCURATE cutting of every detail 😂. I'm a bit haphazard - not good!! 4. I like this pattern so much that I'm planning do a floppy version of it, without interfacing or lining, instead using heavy canvas.

Awesome bag and just what I needed! A couple of tips. First, Sewingtimes, would you please add the interfacing to the cut list? It was part way through the video that I found I needed interfacing. Luckily, I had what I needed already. Also, because of the purpose of the bag, I needed to use waterproof canvas. Now, for most of it, this was fine, but at the end, it was super-bulky and hard to manipulate. Just go really, really slow. If you're going to use waterproof canvas, adjust the cuts for half inch seams. This pattern is totally easy to adjust for size, even for us "confident beginners". I adjusted for it to be 2 inches smaller and one inch taller than the demonstrated size. Just be sure you're cutting off/adding in the correct places. Check and check again and you'll be fine. Wonderful beginner bag (as long as you're using something besides waterproof canvas)! Thanks for sharing!
