[DIY] JDM ASTAR 3030 H11 LED Fog Lights Installation! | 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer GT

Welcome to a DIY/Installation video on fixing/repairing your fog lights on your 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer GT. This DIY is specifically for Lancers with the front ralliart bumper and fog light housing. These fog light lenses are prone to cracking (either from heat) or stones hitting the glass. This tutorial will help you replace your lense with a cheaper alternative than ordering a new fog light assembly from the dealership (expensive $$$).
Instructions:
1. Remove plastic fog light housing
2. Remove 3 screws holding fog light
3. Remove power connector
4. Replace glass and seal with clear silicone sealant
5. Install new fog light bulbs (LED or Halogen)
6. Re-install fog light assembly and plastic housing
7. Enjoy your new fog lights :)

Tried this fix three times, the halogens are too hot and melt the plastic. Going for a fourth attempt with the LEDs. Question, do you know what is the matching JDM ASTAR headlight number for the LEDs? Thank you for the upload, this has been a much better fix then purchasing those overly expensive manufactured fog lights and a much better solution not being a glass lenses.

It seems the link to their site is dead. You can lookup any types of LED bulbs, the connector for the fogs is H11. So, any led bulb that is H11 should work.
im planning to put foglight with the same bumper i wonder how do you switch them on?

My car came with fog lights from factory. The turn signal has a ring that you can turn to activate the fog lights. If you didn't have fog lights on your car from factory, you'll probably need to wire it to a blank button. I'm not sure on that though.
Why not just buy LED fog lights with assembly already... they are about $50 in Amazon...

They didn't have it back when I was looking for them. But yeah, much easier now.

@@JYChannel however this is VERY good DIY fix. BTW it is hard to get them pbecause the part number match in Ebay and Amazon is completely wrong and it shows you the fog lights for normal Lancers.
why is everything done while you hold the camera? out it down on something.....like watching an install during a earthquake
