I just used 3 Spring tension rods to hold my 3 drawers. Shit since there's a lip at the bottom and the top

You had me at Honda Element👍🏾😊
After she's done, get her lifted on a car lift and spray the underneath of the living space with Rhino or any other type of heavy duty liner. If this is going to go the distance in all places you will need it. Maybe even a foam spray insulation.

Agreed, depending on his budget though. Better shocks would suit this truck especially on longer cross country drives.

not to mention its too damn small going from the old van to this is not something i would do its dumb to give up the van he had for this no thanks
for the table you should 100% skin it like your van with that iconic black/ white topography design. Would be a cool accent and a good callback to home.

I respect you of all van lifers Ryan. Your quick cut editing would not be easy but it keeps the pace going at a solid rate and must take a while so thanks for the extra effort you put in for the viewers comfort.
Maybe too late now, but my automotive experience would have put a 5 X 5 trap door into the floor just above the fuel pump / level sensor. Could save a lot of money and effort in the future. Excellent work. I'm impressed with you and your friends!
Your mini camper came out awesome bro. Congratulations on the new vehicle.
Ryan - I believe there's only one option for your table option(and might give your interior just a bit more personality) and that's a Jarrod Tocci Lagun multi colored resin table with LEDs
Hi Ryan I think you should put your topographical map on your Laguna table! I love the way everything turned out and can’t wait to see your first camping trip in it! 👏🏼🤩👍
If you still have it, the part you cut out for the sink. You could use that as a sink cover and a cutting board. Router for making a lip to lock it in place and a small hole to lift it out.
What I like about build videos like this is the ingenuity, like having to devise how the bed is going to work and it makes you have to really think what essentials you really need to make it work.
Sweet build for sure, I’d wrap the whole truck and camper in a vinyl wrap with that map you always point to in your van. Think it would look amazing.
It came out way better then I thought! Congrats on the almost finished build.. This is something that if you were to raffle off, I would not mind purchasing a few ticket entries to... food for thought.
Dope finished project. Excited to see a video taking it out in the wild
Hi Ryan, I think extending the topper over the lip of the front glass would give it so much mores space, and adding a mini split ac system like on the outside would be great. Build looks really nice.
I’m my opinion the bench next to the sink is wasted floor space. You already have a bench/bed, so why 2 bench’s. A vertical closet in the corner would have been a better use of space there and then put a tv mount above it. Just my 2 cents.

Absolutely love your camper van. Can't wait to see your first trip ! Thanks for sharing ❤
Love it. I’ve been tossing around the idea of making a camper build on my 95 Minicab. I love the overcab extension, I might go with a more organic shape. But this is a great build.
Just found your Kei Truck Camper build! Everyone is doing ProMaster, Transit and Sprinter camper vans, glad to see a small build that has to limit its weight!
I love what you said about having a project start in the mind and then be done. Good job man this is awesome
I'm now an adventure motorcycle camper so I wouldn't get much use from a kei truck camper, but after watching this series and the kei camper videos from Mike Festiva and Olympic Overland, I'd love to build a drop in camper for my 4WD Hijet. I'd make it 7 feet long so there was a generous cot on one side with a small propane two burner stove in front on the other side. I'd make it from 1" rigid foam with fiberglass hand laid over the foam (aka a Foamie). I'd keep it super simple with no windows, but I'd max out the top with solar panels and might even make a pull out solar patio roof. No windows, but maybe four cameras on top looking out in all directions and a large TV inside with the ability to have a virtual window or split screen security view of all cameras at once. Most of the weight (LiFePO4 battery, inverter, water, propane) would be in the front to keep it stable. No cab over design. Just a simple low rectangular box to keep it simple.
@josephdover198
3 ай бұрын
Yeah I really dig what Mike Festiva and his brother did with their Carry and Acty. 7 feet is interesting because the beds are 6 feet long. I'm sure you would have a plan as to how it stays in place while also being able to remove it. Personally I would want at least one window.
@Liberty4Ever
3 ай бұрын
@@josephdover198 - I'm 6'2" so I'd like a longer cot, but I'd be careful not to hang a lot of weight too far off the back. I'd remove the tailgate (one 10 mm bolt) when the camper is installed. There are four convenient tie downs on the outside of the bed sides on each side so it'd be easy to strap the camper down and toward the front, much like any other load. With enough solar power, it might be possible to have a refrigerated cooler or maybe even a small RV fridge/freezer, but an ice box would probably suffice for my simple needs. Speaking of needs... I need to stop thinking about a mini truck camper before I spend a lot of time and money building something cool I'll seldom use. 😀 If I get the urge to go kei truck overland camping, I'll toss my Hennessy 4-Season Explorer Zip hammock and other ADV motorcycle camping equipment into the truck and go!

That's an awesome idea
The reason your signal is blinking so fast is because the LED doesn’t send enough voltage so it thinks the light is burnt out, so it’s flashing fast to alert you.
"The van is complete" .... "except for this part, oh and i gotta fix that up... yea that needs a touch also.... this will be a project for later.... might redo this part also" ... lmao love it! looks great :)
Im glad you addressed the ceiling. As soon as I seen it,I couldnt unsee it. I think a light strip in it would work. Maybe a little different color or something. The mini truck is looking pretty cool. You could put on the outside somewhere your youtube channel name. People see it and look you up,it may get you some followers
Well Ryan I think it was probably a fun project. Impractical is the first thing that comes to mind,,,but it’s all relative. That rig might be great for a week long trip to limited locations. Small and stealthy. But if you have the money and it was fun,,,good on you bro. I hope it didn’t’ take too much of a dent into your finances. Your sweet spot, in terms of popularity, is in the travel videos you make. I can’t speak to the sweet spot for making money. You have been to a ton of places,,,fortunately, this country is VAST,,,and there are so many places few have been to, your playground is almost unlimited. I hope and look forward to more travel videos,,,find those unique spots that many of us travelers don’t find or know about. Be that inspiration that so many people need to pick up and go.
For the swing-out table, you could go for a splash of color, a red or orange table. But that is just my opinion.

Such a brilliant and skilled young man. His parents should be so proud.
Hello Ryan from Texas nice to see you its been awhile any way your van looking good can't wait for the finish product thank you for sharing your journey love watching your content take care until next time
Here's an idea for your table.... the design on your counter as you walk into your van (I'm sorry, I can't remember the name of the place it is from) would look beautiful. You then have that element from your van in your mini build. Just something to ponder 😊 🤷♀️
Interesting project. Hope it pulls the load. It had been so long since you mentioned it I thought you had shelved the idea. Good job.
This is a cool build! I reckon stain the table like the bench top! But either way a super quirky build. Looking forward to seeing it on the road!
Looking good, Ryan! Nice to see Kyle helping you out😃
Absolute beaut of a video! Thank you for the content

Been wondering about this. Looking forward to watching!
Nice! Thank you for the detailed specs and modification 🙏🤙🇵🇭
I broke my jaw a week ago and have been binging all of you videos. Im really enjoying all your cooking videos even though I’m on a liquid diet 😂. Got lots of ideas stacked up from when I can actually eat real food again though! Love from Buffalo NY 🤘🏻
I wanna see both the van and the camper out together on a trip. Dope build!
I am very impressed with your excellent work, I am amazed that you have a functional and beautiful room on the back of a Kei truck!
Your videos is my go-to watch if i cant sleep, its very calming and enjoyable. Thanks ryan!!!!😬
looks awesome!
Loving seeing the progress! You're really cooking on how fast this is all coming together so can't wait to see it in action soon
Congrats, the van look great! Excellent video.
Cedar 1/4in tongue and groove plank ceiling with those lights would look great 👍 I’m thinking live edge or butcher block table for the lagoon table
Nice job! And I'm so glad you addressed the gap in the roof lining. My OCD was shifting into 8th gear lol. Safe travels, bro!
Keeping the Van the same theme as the Main Van is cool. You could get a little collection going. If I build My own Van one day, I will definitely be taking inspiration from You.
I enjoyed all the edging done in the video !! great finish with the caulk too !!
yesss been waiting for a update on the truck camper!
I've been waiting to see what you do in there. What a cool project!
Thanks, Ryan. I have been waiting for this video. Good job by you and your guys.
That dark interior is so attractive, cozy, and soothing. I never realized how great dark walls were until one of my hair salons had them.
Dude Super Dope! Love watching your videos and living vicariously through you. I'm 6'8" so my van life is basically not possible but seeing this and the mini truck dealership down the street give me hopes of one day building something I'd fit in. Since it's essentially custom it might be the move. Please be sure to put up the specifications of your truck to the best of your ability so we can judge for ourselfs what is good, better, best materials, and whatnot. Like let us know what gas mileage you get, how often you refill, things to consider adding or upgrading to the powertrain/engine before getting the camper shell complete. What you'd do differently had your known after using it for a month or more. I love the idea that you could just lift the shell off if you need any maintenance or repairs done. That's big intelligence moves cause I was thinking I would have to rebuild the engine and stuff like it before traveling across the world, but with the honda engine no need, smart man. Good luck with everything I hope there's no kinks at all but if any, that they are easy to resolve. I may have mentioned it before but if you're ever passing through NC and need anything I gotchu. I'm always the one recomending you go to the Outer Banks or one of our beach's, I feel like you would enjoy Oak Island, personally XD; and you can visit early or later in the season because the water is warmed by the south before it shoots back into the ocean when it hits the cape, or bald head island. You could also stay anywhere along there as long as you hit calabash for food; you will not regret it! However, if you're closer oak island side, I'd save the gas and just eat Shagger Jack's or Southport if you don't mind the drive. Sorry to word vommit in your comments bro love your stuff, I'm jealous, keep up the great work!
Looking forward to the first trip in it.
looks super nice
The Led bulbs draw less wattage through the keyer relay for your blinkers. adding a resistor into the circuit will draw the propper current to blink slowly. much love..
Looks great for a fun camper to use on short trips from your house, you have done a great job, I look forward to seeing you use it. I'm glad your keeping to your main van though. I know you said this was the final video but an update would be good to see just finishing off the snagging list you have for it. I think you will appreciate the thicker bed by the way, and can't you shave the cushion that blocks the tabletop before you upholster it? Thanks for the videos.
you're right about te relay for the indicators Older cars use thermal one that use heat to make the "on/off" sequence When you put a led insted of a bulb, less power is consumed so the relay heat faster and goes of faster (i'm not really good in english ud i think you should understand haha) You can put a resistor to consume a but of power or replace the indicator relay by one that is "led friendly" thanks for you vids Geoffrey, from France
Looks good, alot of simplicity.
I'm absolutely stoked, great to see this little thing really getting into the final shape, can't wait for the ride-alongs you'll take us with it. For the gaming, I'd probably avoid going full xbox + display setup and just get the Steam Deck instead, but I'm not really an xbox guy to begin with. Great choice of music btw, greetings from over the pond.
Can’t wait to see the element build! I’ve been living in mine going on 6 years now.
For power check out the Bluetti EB240. It has a 200ah capacity and takes 500w max solar input. I use one in my build with 400w solar and I love it.
Good work. Loved it from start to finish
Love it so far, looks great.. I could see myself driving it. Only I would prefer driving on the left side of the vehicle and not the right. You guys are so talented in building. :)
Very cool build, I like it a lot! Can't wait to see the first camping trip in it and also the new tires lol!
Hey Man, Looking forward to your Van build. Love all your adventures!!!
Very nice indeed! Excellent work!!!
Looks so great!
As far as a fridge, there are coolers - like regular picnic coolers, that you can pug in and they act like a fridge. But MUCH lighter and portable. Coleman makes one that I've seen.
That’s absolutely incredible well done to you and friends bro
That looks nice brother! The only thin on the bed is if you can fit an extension cushion for your feet like you said but maybe even build just a basic extension with a cushion toward the door you can put in when you go to sleep too to broaden the leg space cushion and whatnot. If that makes sense
Congrats, Ryan!!! Super proud of you bud.
Can't wait to see this finished! 😁😁
Great video update there 👍🏼👍🏼 will be on the lookout for the next development 😊
Cant wait to see this on the road🤩
Nice job Ryan, looks great.
DUDE... proud of you for expanding your fleet, been watching since your first build!! As for the table, I know this is different BUT brick would be kinda cool.
You could do a similar thing to the odd angle at the end of the bed. So you can stretch completely out. I’m glad you changed the sleeping arrangements. I’m 5’4 and I don’t think I would have been comfortable up there.
Great clean work
Yesssss I beeeennn waiting for this video! Love your videos Ryan!
Nice jobs guys...have fun!
love this build!! so dope with the mini and still so extremely efficient!! 🤘🏼
Great job, nice turn out
This is great work!
dude i loved the wood look!
I have to admit, I discovered this guy about a week ago and I've been watching all his videos, there's some great stuff in there! But in the nicest way possible, and I hope its interpreted that way, Ryan is like the live action version of Ned Flanders!

looking awesome. those drawer handles are going to rattle like crazy though haha. my camper cab isn't separated so i'd be hearing them jingle all the way down the road
I live in Japan and I’ve drive lots of those, probably you will reach 80km/h (sorry don’t know in mph) on downhill if lucky xD. Patience my dude driving it and everything should be fine!
Nice work. Maybe something that folds up on the wall at the end of your bed where you can add a cushion so you have the same bed width at the foot off the bed. It doesn't need to support much weight, but it will increase your comfort. A two burner induction top might work for a cooking option as well. I'm not sure of power company motion on those though.
Very cool... it's nice when a vision comes together..❤😊
you should do a little dometic fridge/freezer up top where the storage space is/or in one of the spaces under your bed/couch! and a magnetic spice wall behind the sink like how Eamon and Bec had their spices in a jar with magnetic tops and it just stuck to the wall! I think that would really save some space and give you the last bits of what you need! also for your table, I think you should do a really cool engraved table of Japan or something!
