DO NOT use super glue, as it is not meant to be placed against the scalp/skin. Instead try latex bonding glue for the gaps left open between doubling wefts, AFTER the clips are sewn onto the wefts using a C shaped needle. The tacky feeling left behind when using latex glue can be removed by lightly gliding on arrow root powder when sealing off the edges of your wefts to prevent shedding after cutting, that greatly extends the life of your extensions. There is a very high chance of permanently damaging hair wefts using super glue that will slowly break down the hairs bond. Leading to shedding, stiff tracks and scalp burns.

Thank god I only tried this on the very end of my weft, the crazy glue makes the weft so incredibly hard, I couldn’t even imagine trying to get these things in my hair properly if I had have crazy glued all of them! Not too mention, whatever they treat the hair with reacts with the chemicals in the crazy glue! So the hair close to the weft literally started smoking! Once dried you could see the glue and the hair was hot to the touch! Take the long road and sew them!

@@jadasimone001 I've found Gorilla Glue doesn't work well on fabrics (edit: which is what the hair is stitched to on wefts). I've had to learn this the hard way through trial and error. I read above in another comment that using hair glue would work better for this, maybe even the Krazy glue..idk.

Next time I go to my hairdresser I will ask her the rest of the color to do my streaks and will do some on my new hair. For now I am really happy to have a nicer bon than the little thing I had before. I live in Italy and women here are very well groomed. I wish I had had the internet when I was younger. I really wanted to focus and remember each step, but as soon as you layed the hair down on your pants to glue them together, I was lost, because i am dumbfounded on how the hec you just SUPER glued all that together, using your pants for support, with no gloves, and didnt seem to drop or get any glue on anything except the hair. My extensions would be glued to my pants, and my fingers glued to the hair. Wow, you have talent, for DIY clip ins, and some home improvement tasks to. Loved the video, how you got to the point, didnt talk about your dog, or job, etc. Just a clear instruction on what the video was intended for. A+

I've done wings, weaves and extensions for cancer patients for over 20 years. You shouldn't be using anything except hair glue. Those chemicals can soak into your pores when its warm or hot. Please be careful doing this. The American Cancer society has warmed against this.

@@MW713 I was wondering about chemicals or toxins from the glue. Thank you.

Wow this is actually an awesome idea and a great tutorial! I was totally going to go and spend a bunch of money on hair extensions but this is so much easier on your wallet. I was just curious as to why you glued two pieces of the weft together instead of just having one piece of weft? Is that personal prefrence to have them thicker, or does it make them look more natutal, or what? Loving your channel, by the way ☺

Thanks girl! Yes I glued 2 wefts together to make it thicker so that my hair will blend into the extensions a little better.

If I remember correctly, you have pretty thick hair as well. if you're planning on buying hair from Sally's I would get two packs because unfortunately, they don't give you that much hair :/

Did the ends need weft glue? I was afraid to cut mine because I thought they would unravel.
