We stamped 10 yards Ashlar Slate today. You’re right, it was miserable outside. The heat will break you. Nice work👌

Looked alright in the end, I guess ! Well done. 👍
Only 75 in St. Louis we poured 120 yards of paving which is small so it was a nice easy day
that matched pretty darn good.

Anyone that does concrete know what a race against time means.
Is there any advantage to doing this over using a concrete retarder? Seems like more work. Maybe you talked about it in the video and I missed it
What's the pricing range difference between traditional trowel or broom finished concrete vs exposed aggregate per sq. ft?
Nice job. Always against the clock with concrete, especially in that heat. Here in Scotland we seldom have that problem.

I used to do concrete and we used to put powdered sugar in a water sprayer and put it on fresh pour. Come back hour later and spray off with hose. Always looked good

I have old exposed agg concrete pavers/steppers. Can I resurface these to get a smooth concrete look?
Just saw your video. I see that it is about one year old, so not sure you would respond to a question. But I will try. Could this process be applied to a sloped walk-in shower floor? Thanks
Matched great came out nice, but ur right that mix was pretty gritty

generally it's not like this... usually you seed the stones, let it cure completely and then run a buffer over it to take off the hardened layer of cement, then the stones are exposed but also the entire surface is flat... the technique in the video leaves a rounded rock surface, not flat everywhere... also these WILL pop out over time due to that

Nice job, it might go easier on him next time if he uses a wood bull float or wood darby (36 or 48 inch) to help set the aggregate initially. When I do exposed aggregate, I use all wood tools except for edging, then a mag with no marks or lines and then do the process of just waiting it out.

No because it's not a heavy coverage
He worked hard on that due to the heat think 90 is about 32 degrees in uk money thats some hot 🔥 stuff. Dave here the concrete dont set quick is there something you can spray on top set it quicker to be able to hose off the cream .never done this but that would be my worry getting it to set .wales isnt hot . Thanks mate and great videos 🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸👍👍

Hi Odell as you know here in Iraq we work under 122 F° so its been to hot but we rather did the stamp concrete before sunset . I'd like to ask you ... Is it worth to work like these mini projects about 9 m2 and you guys 6 and your trucks and that under the heat with waiting almost 4 hrs , is it really worth ? How much the square foot or square metre cost to cover this small project???

@@OdellCompleteConcrete Thank you! Know of any concrete outfits hiring for a 50-year old Woman? ☺️
In other exposed aggregate videos you say to pour about a half-inch short to make space for the rise after putting in the seed. In this video you don't say that, and it looks they poured right up to the level before throwing seed, so did it it raise up or what?
Sir please give full video including materials
What type of aggragate rock is that?
when would you use a magnesium trowel ,wood ,or steel towel in which order
@jamesvandyke7318
2 жыл бұрын
Wood is for roughing up cream to make mag floating easier. Magnesium floats are for making everything flatter and somewhat smooth. Steel trowel is used to "burn in or hard trowel" the concrete like what you would see in garages or basement floors. In warmer climates they trowel a lot of their work. In more freeze & thaw climates you really want to stay away from steel troweling outdoor concrete.

Hello, looks great. That is interesting, united rentals will rent you the concrete mixing trailer, fill it with a yard of material. Can you specify the mix, stone, cement etc. Would you mind sharing how much the rental of the trailer and the yard of material costs. Thank you.
@OdellCompleteConcrete

Yes, 1 yard maximum about 350.00. PSI ranges from 2500 to 3500
@jjjustin17favs
2 жыл бұрын
Here in the midwest a truck was 140 a yard. 50.00 short load fee 17.50 fuel surcharge. Was about 400.00 for 2.25 yards. 2.25 yards from another company was 440.00 And the 3rd company was 526.00 for 3 yard minimum

Sugar water in a bug sprayer after seeding keeps the cream on top from hardening on a hot day. Same as a retarder but 1/10th the cost.

I know my question is probably out of your scope of expertise....... How effective would this be as a non-slip surface underwater with algae..... like a boat ramp? If you know, thanks. I still hit the thumbs up 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters.
