    generally it's not like this... usually you seed the stones, let it cure completely and then run a buffer over it to take off the hardened layer of cement, then the stones are exposed but also the entire surface is flat... the technique in the video leaves a rounded rock surface, not flat everywhere... also these WILL pop out over time due to that

    Nice job, it might go easier on him next time if he uses a wood bull float or wood darby (36 or 48 inch) to help set the aggregate initially. When I do exposed aggregate, I use all wood tools except for edging, then a mag with no marks or lines and then do the process of just waiting it out.

    Hi Odell as you know here in Iraq we work under 122 F° so its been to hot but we rather did the stamp concrete before sunset . I'd like to ask you ... Is it worth to work like these mini projects about 9 m2 and you guys 6 and your trucks and that under the heat with waiting almost 4 hrs , is it really worth ? How much the square foot or square metre cost to cover this small project???

    In other exposed aggregate videos you say to pour about a half-inch short to make space for the rise after putting in the seed. In this video you don't say that, and it looks they poured right up to the level before throwing seed, so did it it raise up or what?

    when would you use a magnesium trowel ,wood ,or steel towel in which order

  • @jamesvandyke7318

    @jamesvandyke7318

    2 жыл бұрын

    Wood is for roughing up cream to make mag floating easier. Magnesium floats are for making everything flatter and somewhat smooth. Steel trowel is used to "burn in or hard trowel" the concrete like what you would see in garages or basement floors. In warmer climates they trowel a lot of their work. In more freeze & thaw climates you really want to stay away from steel troweling outdoor concrete.
