Looks great. Only suggestion I’d make would be to put some round-over trim on that tin roof to prevent a bad cut if you walk into it. I have a big scar on my belly that I got years ago from something very similar on a farm shed we had. I enjoy y’all’s videos and don’t want to see you get injured! 🙏
Thank you Hollis, Nancy, and Bing Bing, God bless all of you! Hollis, that was painstakingly brilliant work, for one man, on his knees most of the time, building from the bottom up! Fantastic job working the camera Nancy! You deserve as much credit for your expertise in this area. Bing Bing, that big hug from Hollis isn't enough, you deserve more! You are the silent spectator onsite, giving everything your approval! They're truly blest having you around for moral support! I'd love to see the ingenious way in which you've transported this storage box to the seed starting area. Truly Hollis, you're one of a kind, and we're truly blest that you've chosen to document everything for the benefit of all of us watching your videos, and learning from you. God has a special reward for all this hard work, and we pray that it's continuous, for all the planning, patience, and most of all the effort, that you put into executing everything. We truly, are blest just knowing you! Keep up the good work, and just holler for help if you need it, because lots of us, I'm sure are eager to lend more than a hand! I'll end on that note, but you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. God bless, and stay blessed! Amen!
Nice video. Looks like you have plenty of room to work and nice surroundings. A box built to last, no fancy gas struts.
Very grateful for you sharing your building plans. We have made some tables from your plans and we love them. They are strong and sturdy and will last us for many years to come. We really are appreciative that you are sharing your projects with us. Love to see how you are setting up your property as this is what we would like to do too. Awesome! Keep up the good work and informative videos. God bless!

Have you ever noticed how, at the beginning of the video, Hollis greets us with a huge smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye? He's downright CUTE and you can't say that about too many men our age...LOL. Happiness makes you glow, old boy - and in turn causes a smile on the rest of us. God bless you both. xo ps- How large a piece of property did you purchase? It seems massive!!!!

You guys look happy. Mixed couple to boot. Thats America! ✌ Thank you for the vid. Lets try it!
Bing Bing the supervisor is at it again!
Great storage box! Good decision to put corrugated metal top for run-off. Good thing Bing Bing was supervising. Everything's really shaping up beautifully. Unrelated question: how are you dealing with the sand in that area? My mom lived one town over from you, now the tiny place is mine, and that sand drives me nuts. Good health and happiness to you; hugs and kisses for Bing Bing.
Looks great, that will be my next project.
I know where you are coming from..my dad loved to get things done in the morning however I cannot deal with the humidity..... I much rather do my stuff later in the day after 6pm ...I know I am limited by daylight but I can’t deal with the morning humidity....I guess to each his own....love your videos...👍👍
BLESSINGS 💖
Always enjoy your builds and I think it's amazing you are offering the plans for people. :) But I'm anxiously awaiting your produce videos... Especially to know how you manage stink bugs and vibe borers! Those buggers are making summer gardening best impossible the last 2 years. :'(
Step by step! Closer To that goal.
Thank you for letting me know what to have for making the best gardening racks ,

You have the coolest little shop mate 🤣 Love the build by the way. I'll probably build something similar for a storage box on the deck.
Yes, I hear ya on, a place to keep things where ya USE them!! Let's see, is it in the shed, the kitchen tool drawer, the grow room, nope, the garage, the garden cart, uh uh, hmmmmm, There it is, in the boat!! lol OK, why do I need this? Luckily, my place is only 4 acre's. Still, my riding mower and garden cart double nicely as a golf cart. Nice Build!! TYFS Stay Safe and Well Mark and Rosa

If you use the corrugated clear composite roofing, it would let the light in, making it double as a cold frame. Plus, you wouldn’t have to open the lid to see the contents.
Very inspiring! I'm rewatching this one for the fourth or fifth time. Every bit of this outdoor storage box is so crazy efficient. I'm thinking of building one half size for our lower 1/3 acre section to support the smaller garden plots, container gardens. Saving up for that sliding cut off saw and more clamps. I'm thinking of using composite decking for some of the horizontal surfaces. Note to self: yeah.. I definitely need more quick grip clamps.

Are you planning to build a new soil reclamation box or use the one from the old homestead? I noticed its not on any of your seed starting area plans. Or did you find that not practical in the long run? I'm planning to combine your 2 box build ideas to build my reclamation box. I think the angled lid is a great idea.
My husband was wondering if you were a navy HT or Draftsman? ✨✨✨

Great garden storage box. I'm sure you are glad you bought all that wood for projects around the homestead before the price of lumber doubled.

I am. I have paused the remaining builds until the lumber prices come down. I can’t pay $10.47 for a 2x4!!!
Just need that auto egg getter now.:)
I have the same question as munchkin5674????
Seems like making the sides out of plywood would make it a lot lighter. But finding cheap plywood these days is a chore all its own. Great box build though, I might have to try this build myself.
@HollisNancysHomestead

Much lighter but won’t last as long
I bet that was a heavy one, hahaha. Looks good and should last for a while. Are you going to paint them?
We LOVE your puppy, Bing Bing, I hope I spelled that right. What's the story of the puppy?
Like the size of the box need to make Ray’s beds
Did you leave any space between the floor boards on the bottom when you were building the soil reclamation box?
Looks good, looks heavy. I would have built it on site instead of having to move it. The lumber store must love you.

No but he wants some.
I know I'm off subject . I want to know if you ever use woodchips in the garden? Not a suggestion, I want to know if it's a benefit.
Hi Hollis, Great build. I did notice some corner pieces you put in the lid that wasnt on the diagram. Would you have info on those pieces? Thanks so much.

Hopefully you'll not work harder in retirement but yeah it might be a love job.
Hollis are you using different seeds now that you are in a more tropical area? I'll be moving into your area and I'm concerned my Tennessee seeds won't do as well because of the climate difference.

Before you put that last side on it, it would have made a nice bench, just put a thick cushion in it and you would have had a resting place while out in your garden.

@arnedataylor-harper7323

I dd the same and got too little , 4 buckets and about 6 potatoes. I think I needed bigger holes, I should have added sone potassium, or wood ashes. and because I did not have big enough drain holes some of them rotted in the bucket.
That roof is hideous. Sorry.
