This worked beautifully for the fob for the 2016 Accord. Thank you. BTW, be careful, if the battery holding section seems loose in the fob housing, do not lift it. The lock, unlock, alarm, and trunk "buttons" are just loose pieces of metal sitting in the fob's face. Putting them back in place is not a simple chore. Make sure to hold the battery holding half of the fob tightly as you lift out battery and put the new one in.

Wanted to make sure I left you a comment to say thank you! I was in Best Buy with my mother and her key fob that was losing battery power. I looked up a video and you were the one I chose to watch! I love how you said what kind of battery we needed because I was right there to buy it and didn't know how to take the fob apart yet but needed to know the type of battery. You clearly and distinctly said what number the battery was at the beginning of your video which I loved! Thank you for this video!

Buttons might fall out and be difficult to reinsert in proper positions. I read thru some comments before attempting the battery replacement myself and came across people who had all the buttons fall out. So, to this video I would add 2 suggestions: ● First, after you have removed the key and before you pry the key case open, use tape (painter's tape is good for this) to keep the buttons in place. Just take a strip of tape and press it firmly over the button-side face of the key fob. ● Keep the button side down just in case the tape fails, but if you've applied the tape well, you should not have to worry. Then, proceed with opening the key fob completely. I've taken apart things like remote controls and know the joy of trying to get the buttons to line up. Thanks so much for the video. It is so wonderful to be able to do these simple things because someone thought to make a KZread video.

It also solved the mystery of why there is a keyhole in the door and no key. Definitely one of those AHA! moments when I pulled the end off. I was going to break this for sure until I googled "changing the battery in a honda keyless fob". I had looked in the manual (this is for an Odyssey) and found no explanation of why a keyhole.

This is so helpful. The first time I did it, I had to try and try with a screwdriver --the trick with the key to pop it open is magical! Thank you and thanks for the battery number. Awesome!
