You don't have to use aloe...just made some and it came out great (spray kind)

The Aloe prevents the alcohol from drying out your hands as do the oils. True that you don't need to add them, just saying.

This is great! But may need to use bottom shelf vodka-there is no alcohol in the state of Georgia

Yes you can

Everyone keeps complaining about the alcohol content not being strong enough. If you WATCH AND LISTEN TO THE VIDEO she clearly said 70% alcohol is all she had and she put a good amount of it in the gel. It may not be at its required strength but these days we all have to do what we can to stay safe. Also, if you're that worried about this solution being ineffective, do yourself and the rest of the world a favor and JUST WASH YOUR HANDS THEN!!!

I only have 50% alcohol bottle. Can i still use it??

Daniel Guzman no you cannot. You need higher. Even 70 is low because you would be diluting it. You can turn your 50% into 99% you can find a way to do it on KZread it’s very simple, you are just mixing the alcohol with salt and shaking. then separating the alcohol afterwards

No. For this recipe to work you need 91% alcohol. She's using 71%. When it is blended with 1/3 aloe it cuts the overall alcohol content to 47% making it ineffective. Using 50% alcohol cuts it to 33% which is well below 70% recommendation.

Anyone else sweating at the high amounts of things mixed?

Have 50% will that work?

jctrux Exactly! I see a lot of recipes in KZread and the 90% off them are wrong because the concentration at the end is not even over 60% of the alcohol and I feel is really irresponsible because the people believe them and they are doing those recipes thinking will kill the virus

That's not going to yield the 62.5% minimum. Use ONLY 1/16 cup of anything else, other than the 70% alcohol; otherwise, you are wasting the ingredients. Chemistry 101

Vin D lol, was thinking the same thing, that would cut the alcohol percentage down to 35% for that batch🤷🏾‍♂️
