I just picked up some chairs. Did they stay ok being mounted straight into OSB?

Not to OSB, that will never hold and is hazardous. It is bolted through the OSB to the bottom frame using 3 inch lag bolts. Each post is held with 4 bolts! It is visible at 0:10 and 1:14 minute markers in the video.

Ahh so you used a lag bolt screwed from above into the 2x material, through your OSB subfloor. You set your 2 floor joists so they aligned with your bolting pattern. Allowing you to attach straight into the 2x material below the subfloor… That sound correct? Love the video. I am going to follow your design for my own man cave. Thank you for sharing your video 👍👍

Thanks! Yes you got it right. I dry installed (without the osb) directly to joists, 2 chairs, to get the exact hole positions and then predrilled all holes by calculation. This ensured proper centered hole positions within the joist (very important). As I laid the OSB, I drilled holes (slightly wider) so that the joist predrill holes will be visible. After laying all OSBs, the predrill holes on the joist were pretty much visible and it was piece of cake to bolt all chairs.
